I ride the Metra into Union Station and also take the Pace Bus (which is right off Canal) I can't believe this happened at 8:20 this morning. That area is not hidden by any structures and a s*** load of people are walking around.

This must be something new added to UIC. Going into this year I never got a call from an alumni welcoming me to college of LAS and willing to answer any questions. I had no idea about anything at that school until orientation; which sucked and dragged on for 2 days. They must of read my angry, profanity filled opinion card and decided it was time for change. Because I'm lazy I would just call them, say welcome to UIC my name is Fanof14 and if you have any questions make sure to ask counselors this summer at orientation. Then I would hang out and move on to the next person.....I would be done in no time. None of these students are going to ask any difficult questions. If someone would of called me I would of asked about the party scene and how classes deal with people who are tardy. I'm sure its going to be questions you can handle......and even if you don't just evade the question and tell the student to call someone else.

Kobe is already guilty in the "court of public opinion". And since the public buys McDonalds food....it would make sense they don't want to see Kobe's picture plastered up on their food. Even if he is found innocent, everyone will scream bulls*** and he will get the same treatment of OJ. This is about the time where everyone tries to speculate what the trade is going to be. We all have waited nearly three months during this offseason for something big to happen, I know I can hold out an extra two weeks. For a while, I believed we were going to start '04 with our team exactly as is....I can only pray that in the event of a trade involving maggs,Konerko KW gets equal talent in return.

Because Sox make terrible decision with contracts. Can't make many mistakes with a 60 million dollar payroll in which 14 million is devoted to one player. Freeing that money up all of the sudden gives us alot of flexibility to fill other holes on our club. This trade goes down(IF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), you can be assured that pitching will not be a problem of ours going into this season. Thats how Minnesota has won the division and thats what we need to do.....concentrate on winning AL Central.

It gets annoying when everyone ALWAYS seems to know whats going to happen and what won't. Its out of our control....and furthermore the trade makes sense when you consider Konerko is inconsistent and Maggs is in his walk year. His 14 Million dollar salary is going to be the base price for a multi-year contract and there is no way we should be him that over several years. I love the guy, but 14 million can be better spent. In the short run, as in this year, we might go through some hard times. I will still root for this team regardless of a last place finish. Hard to believe, but my uncle lives in Detroit and there are still many die-hard Tigers fans....and they're not 60 year old guys who remember the glory days of the franchise. I'll still b**** if they're terrible, but I know that this is temporary. In 05' there will be alot of money freed up to pursue free agents. Don't know all of them, but there will no doubt be alot with all the 1 year deals going around. Sox are getting quality pitchers in return. Jackson and Miller can both solitify our rotation for years to come........might not even have to wait that long to see them if there are problems in the 5th starter spot.

Allright, I'm a little pissed. Spent twenty minutes typing a PETA rant and when I tried to submit this post I had a "Page cannot be replied" message. Attempted to salvage the message by pressing back on the browser but nope, it was gone. I'll keep this one shorter.... PETA are a bunch of whinning babies that instead of presenting information suitable to all audiences, they try to convince others their "cause" is right by showing mutilated animals caught in traps AND promoting a comic book in which a lady is stabbing a rabbit to death. What they do well is recruit the exact people that can be molded into activists..........weak minded college students whose idea of rebellion is protesting every-damn-thing that doesn't fit their views. Their methods aren't winning me over(either is their calling card of running out on a runway to disrupt a fashion show)....worse goes on everyday to give me my delicious Burger King Whopper. I won't shed one tear thinking of a cow slaughtered, and I sure as hell won't think twice about animals being made into fur. Get a damn job and contribute to society YOU PUSSIES.

By the way Fan, I meant to ask you something. Did you know any St. Rita guys when you went to school. Reason I'm asking is my brother is also 27 years old and dated a few McCauley girls back in the day. Also.....did you know any of the Moshers that lived off 58th, Lawndale? Possible you didnt, I just remember they had about a million kids in their family.

I had braces put on three years ago when I was 15. I don't know about Tony, but my first two days were excruciating. Couldnt eat solid foods because it was so painful on my teeth......even had to have painkillers prescribed. Todays new invisiline braces look great and you should ask your orthodontist about the prices; which are high but not at the ridiculous level they were a couple years ago. If you just stick to the metal braces hopefully you won't have to wear those rubber bands.....which look really goofy. I didnt really feel bad about getting them because in high school its normal for kids to have them. Fan0f14, because of your age hopefully you wont feel the need to shut yourself from the outside world. As far as advice......kissing is hard to get accusomted to and you should avoid doing some things . I'm not joking either, the metal on braces has rugged edges that can cut your skin.

What else does that leave? Even the most pessimistic have to believe our team is a front runner. As others have pointed out, there is alot of upside to purchasing the White Sox and developing the ghetto land east of the Dan Ryan will someday give Trump a lot of money.

White Sox win AL central with a 90-72 record. - KC second: 85-77 - Tribe third: 75- 87 - Minn fourth: 74- 88 - Detroit: Alot of losses,few wins... Same ol s***. And the Cubs won't win the divison.....you'll see.
