Politically correct are you? I do remember the words ugly, fat being used to describe HSC. You stated, "if someone has hot sox chick in their name they should be HOT." These politically correct people are ruining our society. Don't consider yourself one Beastly. Human beings tend to hate people/things without reason. Do I need a 10 page manifesto justifying why I dislike certain actions? According to some if I dislike gay marriages (for example) there is something wrong with me. Morally wrong would not be a good enough reason in their eyes. Lets remember these assholes are the ones who believe colleges should keep affirmative action so different races can remain within proper proportions. STOP WHINING!! How about colleges accept students on their abilities on not race/ethnic background. This is only one topic that pisses me off.....Im sorry, these people anger me.

No dice. Not straight up atleast. Frank has shown good power numbers last year (despite a low BA). Not to mention the patience he shows at the plate. What the hell does Garcia have to his credit? If he showed promise in any one of these categories: ERA, K/BB ratio, WHIP it could be a good trade. But trading the two straight up wouldnt be a smart idea. If the trade went down Frank would end up playing 1B because Maritinez tears s*** up at DH. Im sure he would alternate with Olerud......

So where does that leave Giambi? He wont be able to play 1B everyday.

Don't count on any new moves happening during the Winter Meetings. An article posted around 11:30 on whitesox.com said the Sox weren't likely to make any trades. The reason being that that unless a new scenario presents itself during the meetings KW wont bite. He seems to be very cautious...... Even if KW doesnt pull the trigger in New Orleans, I'm justified in knowing he's looking our for the team interests over dumping payroll.

I know this guy can is a proclaimed asshole but does he have a personal agenda against the Sox? Seems odd we would avoid a player based solely on the relations with his agent. Thats a good point. Anybody have numbers on how many career wins he has right now? I thought i remembered hearing he is one season away from accomplishing 300 wins. Saying that he may be 15/16 from 300. Maddux will get 15 wins if given any run support What scares me about that is he only earned 15 with the Braves.....which had one of the best offenses in the ML. Which either means the Braves bailed him out of many games or slumped when he was on the mound. Solid rotation. Good enough to win the AL Central and thats where we should concentrate our trades. Im sure Kennys priority at this point is to win the Central and no worry about the playoffs until it arrives.

At 10 million he can plant his ass in San Diego and waste away his final two years or so in the majors. If he is serious about playing for a team with an actual chance to compete he will consider the Sox (I know some of you may consider the idea of the white sox competing a joke, but compare that to San Diego; they're not going nowhere and accept it). And f*** the Cubs, Maddux hates them.

We did have 6 NBA championships in the 1990's and a superbowl win in 1985. Though the total years the Cubs/Sox have went without a world series win should of factored into the list.

Watch how pissed Maddux gets when a potential out at any other field turns into a home run at Wrigley. He may feel our motto of "pitching/defense" fits well with his pitching style. He's not overpowering and must rely on a good fielding team. At this point were matched with the Cubs on defense though there are still trades to be made at our behalf. He'll pray everytime a ball goes in the direction of Errormis Ramirez.

They are looking for a LH pitcher.......and could outbid us. Though they have three great pitchers already and are looking for new players at short/catcher. Who knows how Maddux feels about the Cubs; he could of had a bad experience while pitching here or maybe he feels the small diminsions of the park could hurt him.

Are they still bumping the thread from three weeks ago where some guy (with "cheese" in his name) predicted a huge trade.....even saying he had inside sources. Was there a website posted from Seattle that validated the claims of Maddux. If not then it doesnt seem right.

Forget about that idea. The guy that was killed was in his 40's..........JFK was assassinated 40 years ago. Makes it difficult to believe someone 9 years or below would of shot JFK.

You couldnt get that kind of value out of Konerko. Add in Koch and a prospect (possibly Borchard) and it could work. Though spezio has been targeted by the Yanks so that might already be out of the picture.
