Sheets is only 3 years younger than Conforto. Conforto already had an all-star season when he was Gavin's age. Gavin isn't a "young kid". It took him awhile to get to the majors because he wasn't very good in the minors.

Laz Diaz is the home plate umpire, so it isn't really surprising. He's always been one of the worst. I think if you asked people to guess who the home plate umpire was, Laz Diaz would be the 1st or 2nd guess, interchangeable with Angel. Cowboy Joe isn't even that bad, he's just a loose cannon.
