Laz Diaz is the home plate umpire, so it isn't really surprising. He's always been one of the worst. I think if you asked people to guess who the home plate umpire was, Laz Diaz would be the 1st or 2nd guess, interchangeable with Angel. Cowboy Joe isn't even that bad, he's just a loose cannon.

This game will be a tipping point for the implementation of the automatic strike zone. There will be a push for it. You can't have this happening on the biggest stage. It's simply embarrassing.

Cespedes will likely not even be an MLB caliber player. Colas isn't a sure thing either. If they are good, you trade them or use them as depth. This guy is easily a better player than those 2 at this point and is ready to contribute now. He may be better than any other free agent option.

Assuming there is a salary floor, Keuchel + some money + prospect(s) to a rebuilding team that is beneath the floor. I have no idea what the money amount or prospect requirement will be. These are uncharted territories with the potential salary floor.
