2021-22 NBA Thread
I think Williams' 3-pt shot is good enough to keep the defense honest. He's still got a way to go before making much of an impact. I'm ok with him as the starting PF for now. Javonte Green has been impressive as a PF so far.

2021-22 NBA Thread
Was at the game yesterday. Atmosphere was great. This teams is already so much better than the recent teams. It's amazing how fast AKME was able to shed the Garpax stink. The team's ball handling, athleticism, and defense is noticeably improved. I know the opponents have been garbage so far, but it's been so fun to watch.

Seiya Suzuki
The Sox absolutely have to get a left handed 2B if they get this guy. I wonder if trading Vaughn is on the table at this point. They simply need to get more left handed.

I'm going to go ahead and make a Grandal thread for you to white knight in.

things don't look so bad now
If I was manager, and would have them do field work and fundamentals until they can't physically run or throw the ball any more. They don't seem to want to defend, so drill it into them. Make them practice it from dusk to dawn.

What to do with the abreu/vaughn/sheets/burger logjam in 2022?

Does anybody recall the alcohol situation at the UC? I remember they serve hard alcohol in the 200 level. Do they server hard alcohol in the 100 level and can you get shots?

Sheets is worse than Schwarber in the OF and he is not the hitter Schwarber is. Not even close.

You got me. I was upset and offended in those posts

Let's be real, while you may have been watching to enjoy the game, you LOVE looking for reasons to be upset.

This. It's a terrible idea. They need to fill the damn hole in RF. Giving it to Sheets is a fireable offense.

I'll take Conforto's history of being a 4 WAR player over Sheets' 54 game sample size.

Sox to pick up $16M Kimbrel option, per Nightengale. Then try to trade him.
Just googled Preller. He is one good looking dude.

15k and whatever else they spend lobbying is chump change compared to what they save by not having pay minor leaguers even minimum wage.

Abreu next year and in the future
Lol, is Jose a gold glove 1st baseman now? He was awful in the past, and he has improved to average. Let's quit overrating Abreu's defense.

Abreu next year and in the future
Back on topic folks. We're talking about Abreu's upcoming demise and how it will be handled.

Rick Hahn 2021 End of Season Press Conference
This seems so toxic... The GM SHOULD be able to fire and hire the manager of his choice... Reinsdorf thought he was overstepping his boundaries by doing what every GM does, so he big timed him to out him in check? That's really how it went down? I figured it was simply because he lives La Russa, not also to put Hahn in his place.

Sheets is only 3 years younger than Conforto. Conforto already had an all-star season when he was Gavin's age. Gavin isn't a "young kid". It took him awhile to get to the majors because he wasn't very good in the minors.

Automated Strike Zone
Exactly. It is getting more attention because it happened to one of the league's prized teams.

1000%. Seems so obvious.

Offseason Trade Proposal Thread
Maybe they think Michael Busch is almost ready? He's a top 100 prospect. Guy was pretty darn good in AA last year. Still, I doubt they'd go into the season banking on him at 2B.

To be fair, we don't know much about Colas yet. Cespedes just seems like a guy. Colas could very well break out. He hasn't played professionally in a whole though.
