Does It Matter At all If We Win The Division?
I've been told by somebody here that the Sox are merely bumslayers. So unless they're playing the Royals or tigers, they got no chance. No chance in hell.

Cubs 2020
I didn't realize how absolutely atrocious Kris Bryant and Javy Baez have been. Just horrible. All their big named players are having bad seasons there. Meanwhile, Heyward and Happ are killing it. Strange times.

Should we be worried about the Tigers in the future?
What about the Padres?

AND THATS A SWEET ROAD SWEEP WHITE SOX WINNER
You may be in luck. Reinsdorf banned headbands on the Bulls for a while. Maybe he'll do the same here.

I wonder if they are just taking it slow with Madrigal after his shoulder injury. You'd have to think it irks Hahn seeing Madrigal sitting when his playtime/development is absolutely crucial for being prepared in this shortened season and playoffs.

Really would like to see Robert and EE switch spots in the lineup. Robert has earned it. EE hasn't.

What I would do for some steak tacos from zacatacos right now... But I can't complain given that there is a decent Mexican place every few blocks in Chicago, even on the north side.

Next time I'll stake my entire claim on a successful player the White Sox trade away, much like you have

All jokes aside, I really wish chewing tobacco was less prevelent in the game. I've never been addicted to any type of tobacco, so I don't know what it's like. It saddens me to think some players could suffer the same fate as Tony Gwynn.

Wouldn't mind giving Abreu a day off sometime soon. He's played every game in this condensed season.

White Sox Nickname Thread
Now that we have an up and coming teams, it's time to talk about nicknames. The ones you like, and ideas for future nicknames. Some nicknames are already set in stone, like La Pantera. Duo nicknames are also acceptable, while not as common in the MLB (Splash Brothers for Curry and Klay, Drain Duo for McDermott and Mirotic, etc.) Does Eloy have an official nickname yet? I do like "Mount Eloy" for Eloy, but it feels like a rip-off of Mount Mutombo. Nick Madrigal. Most know what I call him but lambast me for it, so I won't repeat it. He is in need of a nickname. Vaughn needs a nickname for when he comes up and rakes. "Wallace" because he looks like the character from Wallace and Gromit is great, but I doubt he would like that. Throw out some ideas, folks. All nicknames will be reviewed and approved by @ChiliIrishHammock24 aka joecoolman aka the official bestower of nicknames.

Frye to IL / Bummer to 45 day IL / Team adds Alex Mcrae
Ugh, sucks about Bummer. You can see the strain losing our best guy has impacted our bullpen. This is why it always amazes me when people say Chapman wasn't important to the Cubs world series season. Remove your elite, #1 relief pitcher and your bullpen will feel it.

OPS of our top 9 hitters
It's just crazy to think that we have a guy who may turn into a better hitter than anybody currently on the roster in Andrew Vaughn. I can't wait for him to get up here.

Launch Engel?
Small sample size of course, but Engel has a .962 OPS, .414 wOBA vs lefties this year. With his elite speed and defense, I'll take him as a platoon player in RF.

Abreu, Robert and Tim have the 3 highest WAR in the AL
Pedro Severino has been really freaking good. I think it would be him

Which Sox player has your vote for MVP so far?
TA is 3rd in WAR in the AL despite missing 1/4 of the season. Putting up absolutely filthy numbers. Defense is still a net plus despite some errors. Jose hasn't missed a game yet and has been putting up robust numbers. Team leader, which helps with MVP voting. Defense is much improved and IMO positive, despite what fangraphs says. Robert is 6th in the AL in WAR, 2nd in the team behind Timmy. Putting up ridiculous power numbers while playing outstanding defense in CF. Without a doubt anchoring the White Sox otherwise mediocre OF. All are viable candidates. Who ya got?
