  1. Not sure what you mean by "weird". His players like him and he has produced results. He is light years ahead of Ricky. I'd easily prefer him over Omar and Ricky. I'd probably take him over Girardi as well.
  2. I'm thinking moreso if they decide to give Jose a qualifying offer in hopes that he declines. Does any team sign him at the expense of a draft pick? You sign Castellanos instead and get a draft pick on top of it
  3. That's what I'm afraid of. There's a chance he doesn't get signed until midseason like Kimbrel and Keuchel. He might not be worth losing the draft pick to teams.
  4. After his hot streak. He wasn't worth the QO earlier in the season. It's still debatable if he is honestly.
  5. At this point, do you just offer him the qualifying offer? Assuming it is ~18m. He has played himself into a better contract than previously thought. If he accepts, you have him at least another year at a not so bad cost. He declines, you get draft lick compensation. This is assuming a team doesn't wait to sign him
  6. Being top 10 in the draft doesn't have any meaning anymore, correct? Or is it just less of a penalty?
  7. Wrong again Hibbard. Chris Sale, Jose Quintana, Robin Ventura, Buehrle Jose hasn't eclipsed 20 fWAR yet.
  8. A lifetime contract is nice and all, but anything short of a statue at the stadium is a disgrace. He deserves to be right there next to Big Frank
  9. The purpose of being absurdly cheap the past few years has been so we can spend money on free agents in the future to supplement our prospects. I'll be annoyed if we start trading prospects so we don't have to spend money on free agents. Wait to trade your prospects for when you are a bonafide contender and need the final supplemental pieces to compete.
  10. Are the texts out there? I may have missed them in the article
  11. Innocent until proven guilty. Brown is a prima donna but let's wait to see how the case plays out before determining his guilt.
  12. Gotta cover his back while he breaks the law on camera. Outlaw Jose and his fat lippers
  13. Former Sox prospects have given them a lot of value this year. Semien, Phegley, Montas, Bassitt, JB Wendelken
  14. It's Jason's birthday. He's probably been drinking. Give him a break for not being engaged.
  15. You're the gold standard for credibility around here greg. I can only hope to garner the respect and have the credibility you have around these parts.
  16. Nico Hoerner looked great. Makes it up before Madrigal
  17. What happened to the title of this thread? So the thread title was changed without my consent (but with my name still attached) How was that done? Why was that done? Was my name put in the title in the third person to hurt my credibility? Antoher attack on my credibility as a poster. Why and how was this done, again without my consent when my name is attached to the thread? I'm not very happy about this.
  18. Abreu refuses to play DH. Rick and Ricky better lay down the law if he returns
  19. We get it, you wanted your original title to be clickbait so people would think you were shilling for Abreu once again.
  20. We so sorely missed his modern opinions
  21. Why.not pinch hit Collins here?
  22. Thanks for the heads up. Checked the box scores as of late and that team is just not very exciting. Must be why people don't bother with threads.
