  1. Hahn stated at SoxFest that he is looking ideally for some bullpen depth and middle infield depth that can hit LHP. Some bullpen names that could be good fits for the Sox are Mike Adams and Chad Billingsley. Mike Adams fits what Hahn likes with the bullpen. Ground ball pitcher with high strike out rates. He has been injured the last couple years, but when healthy, he still has shown to be effective. Chad Billingsley I think can be had on a minor league contract because he hasn't been healthy much of his career. But I think if he moves to the bullpen, cut down on innings, he can be a low risk, high reward type guy. Infield depth: Ricky Weeks. He only plays 2B but still well enough last year before Gennett took over his job. Depending on Sanchez or Micah winning the 2B job, I think he is less likely than the next name I'm about to give because Weeks is limited in the infield. Everth Cabrera. Suspended last year because of steroids and I believe he got a DUI charge earlier this off season but he can play an effective SS and steal bases. And still better than Leury Garcia. If any other names you guys can come up with please provide them. What you guys think of these names?
  2. Marshawn Lynch is so annoying with the media. It's not funny anymore, just immature and unprofessional. Today at media day, he answered almost every question with "i'm just here so I won't get fined"
  3. My thoughts on the list: I LOVE that Andre Wheeler is getting some love. He was dominant in Kannapolis last year, but I don't know why he wasn't getting promoted. With him entering the season at 23, and hopefully in Winston Salem, if he does well, I want him flying through the system if he performs. Real high on Wheeler. Another guy I'm high on is Luis Martinez, love that you guys have him ranked in the top 25, although 19, him starting at Kanny would be best for his development. Also very high on Andrew Mitchell, this kid has late inning/closer potential with 2 plus pitches already. Just needs to figure out his command. Players that I have different opinions about: I think you guys bought into the media attention David Trexler got. Yes his numbers were good, but that was at Rookie Ball when he was 23 years old. Another guy similar to him but left handed, so could be more valuable is Ben Brewster, he flew through the system and ended up in WS before injury ended his season. He was doing very well too. So I wonder if he got some consideration from you guys. If Peter or Fry isn't in the top 30, I think that's a mistake. Because I would definitely put them ahead of Recchia, Alvarez, and Wilkins on the list. Overall, I don't have a problem with this list and think the depth is getting stronger as the years go on within the system. I can't wait for the season to come and both with the big club and to see how our prospects perform! Thoughts on my thoughts? lol
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 26, 2015 -> 11:20 AM) That is the kind of package that gets you a superstar. Well is KW a superstar in the executive world?
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 26, 2015 -> 10:02 AM) Smackdown taping cancelled. Raw might be too. Juno might save WWE some backlash. Wait what? What's happening?
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 10:34 PM) Powell's POV: An embarrassing night for Vince McMahon. It's bad enough that he was so stubborn about Batista winning at this time last year, but now he's done it two years in a row. This is damaging to Reigns, The Rock, and WWE overall. Keep in mind that this is a man who claims to listen to the fans. Damn near everyone assumed the crowd would turn on Reigns if they went with him winning the match, yet Vince stuck with it rather than go with Daniel Bryan. Sure, he can turn Reigns heel if things get bad, but that doesn't justify this move. The Rumble match was more deflated than a New England Patriots football (finally got to work that one in) once Bryan was eliminated. It wasn't just the Bryan elimination, though, the booking of the match was really bad and some of those eliminations were just asinine and lazy. PWnet review I pretty much agree with this.
  7. My buddy just texted me that he just read that fans are blocking in wrestlers cars from leaving in Philly lol. They're outraged.
  8. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 10:19 PM) Pretty much everyone expected Reigns to win anyway so I don't quite see why the outrage. It was awful yes, but not sure why we're all surprised by the outcome. I agree, but as I mentioned before, eliminating Bryan so early, and Dolph lasting all of 2 minutes was awful. Not to mention Titus O'Neil was #26 too. Having Kane and Big Show be 2 out of the last 3 was also bad. At least make it interesting. Everyone knew they weren't going to win it.
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 09:56 PM) Oh man this post show is so awkward. What's going on?
  10. That was incredibly bad paper view outside of the Championship match. How can they eliminate Bryan so early? Ziggler lasted what, 2 minutes? Rusev just chilling on the ground for 15 minutes. Then, the last 3 were Reigns, Big Show, and Kane? Come on. Pitiful. One positive from the Rumble. Love Bubba Ray, it was amazing he pulled off the 3D. Hope he sticks. Awful, awful rumble

  12. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 04:30 PM) U buy at soxfest? I know they were giving konerko bobbleheads out for purchases made at soxfest. No just bought them online.
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 03:41 PM) Prediction time who is you RR winner guys? I predict Reigns throws Bryan out to win RR and fans will have a very mixed reaction. There are some reports that a city hosting RAW at a later date has begin marketing Cena as the new champ but that could be wrong. As far as the rumble, I would love to see Bryan or Ambrose win it. Also, there are rumors that the Rock will make an appearance tonight.
  14. Roch Kubatko @masnRoch · 2h 2 hours ago Told latest report has Jays ending negotiations for Duquette, an Os official said "That's what, the 4th time they've said that?" If things do stall, do you guys think that KW becomes an option again? The O's were asking for Jeff Hoffman, Max Pentecost, and Mitch Nay for Duquette. I don't think KW would require that compensation but what about something like Aaron Sanchez and D.J Davis?
  15. Not related to single game tickets, but my buddy and I just bought our 7 game ticket plan! So pumped!
  16. So my question, when Hahn said he wants one more bullpen piece and a RH utility infielder who can hit lefties. Who is available like that not named Gordon Beckham?

  18. If anyone watched the NHL All Star fantasy draft last night. It was shockingly hilarious. I think everyone was hammered besides Kane lol. They even made a trade. Team Toews traded Phil Kessel to Team Foligino for Tyler Seguin. It's hilarious because they were traded for each other some years ago. Twitter exploded with that deal and the crowd was crying. It was awesome.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2015 -> 04:14 PM) Stuck watching the Kaplan/Ventura interview on csnchicago. Of course, one of the first things Kaplan brings up is the Cubs signed Lester first. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Ventura actually did stop him lol. Ventura said whoa whoa we were first! And kept repeating it. I thought that was hilarious.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 23, 2015 -> 02:41 PM) Really 3b is up to Davidson. If he hits, he will steal the job from Conor. If not, he won't. Defense won't really matter because Conor isn't very good either. Agreed. I think if he can have another solid ST, he can earn a job this year.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 23, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) You can't argue with a 30 homer ceiling. This is why I'm still on his bandwagon. Even though he struggled heavily last season. He still hit 20+ HRs. With how the league is scarce with power, you don't give up on that. Especially since last year was his first bad year professionally. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 23, 2015 -> 01:24 PM) if he can hit avg 240+ with his power, it can be what he is saying. again trying to pull the wool over our eyes, by implying that the sox are looking. instead of saying that they are hoping that Davidson can rebound and will not spend nothing more. I'm sure a lot of us would take .240 AVG with 25-30 HRs.
  22. Besides the obvious, I'm excited to see how Sanburn does.
  23. Great deal. Low risk, very high reward in my opinion. I always loved Jesse Crain.
