  1. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 5m astros open to acquiring a 1B via trade. for now they have krauss/guzman possible platoon. dh chris carter also 1b option. Let's trade Dunn to the Astros
  2. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 03:52 PM) Jason Parks ‏@ProfessorParks 49s #WhiteSox SS Tim Anderson is showing off at the plate, w/ a 2B and a bomb so far in AA game. Loose and easy. Should have been in BP 101 Parks was loving what he saw from Anderson and Jaye today.
  3. Webb and Cleto better get those last 2 bullpen spots over Purcey and Putnam
  4. Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN 2h #WhiteSox lineup vs. Cubs: Eaton 8, Semien 4, Abreu 3, Dunn DH, Garcia 9, Gillaspie 5, Viciedo 7, Ramirez 6, Flowers 2. Danks 1.

  6. How come I can't see my bracket? I think I'm perfect right now lol.
  7. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Mar 19, 2014 -> 01:09 PM) They wont take on the money and dont want to give anything up. So not really a match. The Mets are a lot like the Cubs now with financial restrictions and vastly overrating their internal prospects. They would have to give up one of their two C prospects and a pitcher. They won't take on the money after giving Granderson and Colon the contracts they did this off season? I don't think I agree with you there. I don't know much of their farm system either. It was just a suggestion.
  8. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 5m #mets in market for a ss but wont trade coveted syndergaard. http://cbsprt.co/1ihiaWL How about Alexei to the Mets?
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 19, 2014 -> 11:52 AM) According to fangraphs, the Sox have the worst catching situation in baseball. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-positi...nkings-catcher/ I thought it was quite obvious. Danks is the perfect 4th outfielder right now. Need to trade De Aza/Viciedo. Preferably De Aza.
  10. Jordan Danks making real hard for the Sox management starting him AAA. He's had a great spring.
  11. Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN 1h Chris Beck, who Rick Hahn says is on an "Erik Johnson-type path," threw 4 scoreless against Triple-A Royals on Monday. #WhiteSox I love the sound of this... A rotation of the future featuring Sale, Quintana, Johnson, Beck and Rodon/Hoffman/Beede/Kolek is really exciting to me.
  12. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschool-p...-170058989.html article and video of Kolek throwing. I think Alex Jackson is actually catching him too.
  13. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Mar 17, 2014 -> 04:14 PM) Davidson 2-for-2 with 2 doubles. First one nearly left the park too. Also with 2 RBIs. Both doubles off Kyle Lohse.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 17, 2014 -> 12:53 PM) Can't access Twitter from here, but if you follow the FutureSox Twitter feed, check out the two pictures we RT'd recently from Jose Barraza and Jordan Guerrero. They were in a car wreck, and got bloodied up a bit. No serious injuries though, fortunately. But the pictures are frightenting. I couldn't look at their pictures. Glad that they are okay, but who are they? Prospects?
  15. Just joined and finished my bracket.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 10, 2014 -> 01:37 PM) Dayan Viciedo sucks. No he doesn't
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 06:01 PM) If they get Saunders for Viciedo, he had better come with a damned good prospect of some sort. I agree completely...
  18. @ProspectInsider: Hearing Michael Saunders is a name that has been discussed in Dayan Viciedo talks w/ White Sox.” This guy is followed by all the reputable baseball writers like Nightengale, Morosi, Heyman, Mayo. And he likes Saunders a lot more than Viciedo....I do not agree with him on that at all.
  19. Just read tweets that Saunders is indeed one of the names involved. I would hope there's a + to that for Viciedo then.
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 04:17 PM) Erik Johnson is going to make a lot of money. He's a good one.
  21. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 02:17 PM) Reading some of the rumor reports and what might be Mariner expendables is not very exciting. You trade to improve your team and not just to move someone IMO. Viciedo and/or De Aza are certainly on the block, but they have somewhat of a decent track record so trading one of them for some failed Mariner's prospect makes no sense at all I agree. Viciedo can still be part of the rebuilding process. He's young enough and has enormous potential. Twins are mentioned to be interested in De Aza. From them, I would target Trevor May.
  22. If Hahn does anything involving Viciedo, mine as well go all out and get Seager. Otherwise, I'd still like to see De Aza gone rather than Viciedo.
  23. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 10:39 AM) This is a tough one because Viciedo with a good year would suddenly have some real serious trade value. The organizational-health move is to give him another shot at this thing. Meanwhile De Aza is more of an all-around player. I think the mental mistakes are something that can be focused on...we saw Rios improve in that department. If we want to pile some wins early this coming year and take our best shot at this thing, then ADA is playing more than Viciedo If we want to try and take a shot at the Grand Prize, and take a chance in hopes of getting something substantial for our troubles..then Viciedo plays. Viciedo definitely plays. It's not even close in my mind. I like De Aza, but he just does not fit on this team anymore.
  24. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 10:17 AM) The Twins have some interest in White Sox outfielder Alejandro De Aza, who is getting interest even though he's not everything a club would want in a center fielder, leadoff type. Last season, De Aza slashed .264/.323/.405 with 17 homers in 675 plate appearances. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/03/cafa..._medium=twitter Give me Buxton
