On the topic of the defensive line: Has anyone heard of how Ted Washington's looking?

What ever happened to "Ask Murcie?" It's something I truly miss and was a great addition to this board.

Parque's gonna be living in hell there more than ever! Jerry Manuel rarely loses his temper; but, Pinnella does it all the time. If Parque doesn't get it together, he's gonna WISH he was in hell, because at least he wouldn't have to worry about getting his ass kicked in by Sweet Lou. BTW, when will Jerry Manuel TRULY get mad out there? Sometimes I think he and Dick Jauron are twins.

What was he hired for?

Well, I was in and out watching the game today because of classes, but there are a few things I've noticed from this game: 1. Colon will get better when the weather gets better. 2. Koch is money. 3. Valentin may be assuming the role he played during 2003 as Mr. Clutch 4. It's nice to see the Sox not giving up once their opposition takes a lead. 5. It's nice to see the Sox KEEP their lead in the 10th. 6. That Detroit series might have been what we really needed.

The Bulls look like they are really gelling, and I can't wait for next season to see how the kids are going to do from the start. They have beaten Indiana and Milwaukee in straight games, tonight against Indiana convincingly! Jamal Crawford looked terriffic out there, scoring 29 points in the second half. He went on like a 10-point scoring splurge in the last couple minutes! I think he, Curry, and Chandler will be our new 3-headded monster!

I think it can be even better if you substitute Wright in for White, the way White has been looking so far. Good article, Matt. You KNOW I usually love your articles.

But, that doesn't matter, because Detroit wouldn't have home ice advantage if they were to play the Stars, who ARE going to walk all over the Oilers. And then they'll walk over Vancouver, pitting them against the Wings in the WCF.

When that #1 seed team is Dallas, who finished with a home record of 28-5-6-2, It sure as hell does matter!

I know that if you've had a certain # of years in the league, you must clear waivers before being sent down to the minors. How does this whole "clearing waivers" thing work, and how long must you have been in the league for this to take effect?

That seems like a catch-22 there with either sending Stewart or White down. While Stewart is a young up-and-comming starter who could pitch in the pen if needed, and he seems to have good composure, he lacks that experience. And while White has the experience in big games, he doesn't seem to really "have it" just yet. I'd probably send Stewart down simply because of White's previous experience.

They probably don't want SamME to flop in RF anymore than he already does!

Ya know, I'm sure the Indians called the game even before a flake hit the ground, because they know they'll get their asses handed to them by the superior Sox, and they wanted to prolong the debacle for another day.
