  1. Well when the Sox legit only have 1 true lefty bat on the roster, not sure what you were expecting. The Sox only bats with a track record from the left side are switch hitters, and they're in this lineup.
  2. When is Jonathan Stiever expected back?
  3. This team isn't getting a top 2 seed. Fairly confident in that. That said, the 2nd half of the schedule is pretty damn friendly for the Sox. Hopefully we're a different team by then and damage can be done. For now though, I am much more worried about making the playoffs as opposed to playoff matchups.
  4. For those wondering like I was, paternity leave is a max of three days. Otherwise making this move a couple days before Kopech was starting didn't make much sense.
  5. I am not hopeful for this game, nor this series.
  6. Do the Sox not teach 1B how to stretch?
  7. Lol who could’ve seen that coming
  8. This is a spot you need to hit for Gavin.
  9. You said his “peak” is 25 homers. He’s already comfortably beat that 150 games into his career while learning to hit mlb pitching. So it’s not his peak, you’re just being negative; per usual.
  10. His per 162 average is 31 homers 152 games into his career. He has a career wRC+ is 131. He's already an elite hitter, and that includes large stretches where he looked absolutely helpless at hte plate. Robert can be frustrating to watch at times, but his peak is still best player in the game and he's still far from a finished product. As usual, get a grip on reality.
  11. Not sure what's up with Yoan. He's so much better than this.
  12. Yes. They’re nothing alike, really. But whatever. If Sox are 15 games under .500 come mid July, then we can talk a Giolito trade that still won’t happen.
  13. The Sox aren’t punting the next 2 seasons. It’s just not happening.
  14. Except LAD leads the league in walks and Sox are last. It matters. Sox suck balls at getting on base.
  15. If it means we don’t have to read your terrible takes daily, sounds good to me.
  16. If you consider yourself a fan, yes. Get that trash outta here
  17. If the team plays this bad all season, he’ll almost certainly step down tho. He didn’t come out of retirement to manage this garbage. He’s a big part of problem to be sure, but you can bet your ass he doesn’t feel that way.
  18. I love how you say three of the most valuable assets aren't tradeable, ignore 3 of the next most valuable (AV, Giolito and TA), and completely dismiss the significant value of Moncada and Hendriks, and to a lesser extent Lynn and Graveman. Good stuff. If the Sox wanted to go Parkman-mode and tear this thing down, they'd go from the 30th best farm to the best in a hurry. They would get an absolute kings ransom. But its never happening. The Sox could miss the playoffs this year while going under .500 and they're still not going to tear down to the studs. This team is massively flawed on the position player side - their inability to consistently hit right handed pitching or catch the ball should be a surprise to no one, and the FO decided to mostly sit on their hands this offseason. Puzzling to say the least, but the performance to date has been worse than anyone could have imagined to this point.
  19. Thanks for this! Did the update include system rankings? Not a great farm by any means, but is this really still the worse farm in the league?
  20. Also, what is up with Engel? If the dude isn't going to be a great OF, he's not worth playing. He's been bad out there this year. The lack of hitting with RISP cost us the game yesterday, but Engel's botched play was the nail in the coffin.
