I was not insinuating that the return was strange, just that trading a pitcher that is out for the year and we were very likely to not pick up his option is strange.

No, I would not trade what would effectively be Trammel, Puig and Moss for Clint Frazier. That is awful.

I highly doubt the Reds flip Bauer today, or in the offseason. They want to win. Not necessarily this season, but Bauer obviously is a big boost to their rotation next season. This was a super interesting trade.

Trading people for the the sake of trading makes no sense. None of our expiring contracts are worth anything and trading Colome and Leury isn’t wise unless the return is worth it.

Lol at Allard being equivalent to Medeiros. I am OK with the Sox holding onto Colome. That just means the offers weren’t there. Let’s see how the day shakes out before casting judgement.
