  1. FWIW, he'd be tied for 4th on the team in OBP. I too would rather just roll with Tilson and Cordell and see what we have, but he could be slight upgrade on those 2. That being said, he has no future in this org, and those two may (albeit a small chance). Let him go on his rehab. Maybe he'll be needed due to injury when he's ready. If not, just release him. Or let him play for a couple weeks and see if someone who take the ~$2M off our hands, and then bring Tilson back.
  2. Tilson, despite already being DFA'd once, has an option, so I assume he'd be the one to go down to Charlotte if/when Jay is ready to go. I assume the Sox will give him his full rehab assignment, though.
  3. They already completely screwed the pooch on Kopech (obviously a little different being a pitcher), but they cannot afford another massive fuck up like that.
  4. The bolded seems much more likely than Vaughn or Bleday going #1, in my less than 100% informed opinion.
  5. I think he'll be up on April 25th or whatever the exact date is that the Sox get 7 seasons of control. And that is exactly what they should do.
  6. Do you, though? You complain an awful lot about the dollars due to a few White Sox, even though they're fairly small sums.
  7. I really don't understand why the O's would pass on Rutschman to take Vaughn. If they pass on Rutschman, you'd think they'd do it for a high schooler like Witt who moreso fits their timeline. Though if Witt goes 1, Rutschman probably goes 2. So here is to hoping the O's are idiots and take Vaughn tonight!
  8. Spending $15M or whatever on Keuchel could theoretically mean there is $15M less to spend next offseason. That is the rationale, though I am with you. I don't think Keuchel makes any sense for the Sox on a 1 year deal. 2-3 year deal, I am definitely game. Don't think there is mutual interest, however.
  9. I am far from worried, but he has some adapting to do. He is pretty easy to get out right now, and it seems all he can hit is fastballs, and no one is throwing him any. He'll get better with time.
  10. Lol, I said 3 of 4 would be huge. We’re 1 win away from that. Not sure how the remakes me a kook aid swallower. I am just cheering for my favorite team.
  11. Hmmm. Very strange. Hope he’s alright.
  12. Explain your logic here. I think he only makes sense on a 3 year deal.
  13. Why is Delmonico on DL? Hasn’t played since Optioned.
  14. Why hasn’t Delmonico played at all since he was optioned? I see he is on DL. Did he punch a wall or something when he got demoted?
  15. Yes, let's avoid acquiring a top 50 prospect for a RP because the last similar trade has not reaped immediate benefits. BRILLIANT I SAY, JUST BRILLIANT!
  16. All around, Narvaez is very decent. He is not anywhere near good enough of defender to be considered a good catcher, and he's too light hitting to be a 1B or DH.
  17. Banuelos would be my choice. Nova is safe.
  18. I don't think anyone here is interested in a 1 year deal. It's a 3-4 year deal that solves multiple issues for the Sox like needing a LHP, needing an innings eater, needing anyone competent to start every 5th day, etc., that one would think would be of interest to the Sox. It does make a lot of sense on a multi-year deal, but if Dallas doesn't want to sign with the Sox, its kind of moot.
  19. IIRC, the Dodgers had Joc doing some big event a day or two after the rumor broke and was all over twitter. That may have had something to do with it. Perhaps he asked about it and they told him we're not trading you, don't worry, and then they had to pull it back. Still seems silly.
  20. The rumor was that the Dodgers were pissed it was out there and they took the trade off the table. Seems silly, but that was the word.
  21. Get him up here now then. If you're going to call him up at any point this season, may as well just do it now.
  22. Sure, there are also 5-6 other teams that are rumored to be interested.
  23. Nothing Sox fans love more than throwing around Sox-Cubs trades. There are 28 other clubs, guys.
