I'd be cool with Shields if the Sox can get him at $13-14M AAV, and don't give up anything meaningful. Shields would be a big upgrade. I do think a DH or OF bat should be a higher priority though. If it's one or the other is prefer the bat.

But how much stock do you want to put in AAA numbers? I am not saying I want Kelly Johnson over Beltran, just think Kelly Johnson would be a nice dude to have on the bench for his flexibility. Beltran would be fine, I'd just prefer to see someone like Cargo for the bat, but realize that probably not going to happen.
