  1. Don't love the Lopez move here.
  2. But that would impact his drip
  3. Yoan needs a toe replacement
  4. Fair enough. Just seem to have a bit of a rooting against the Sox vibe lately, and its so early.
  5. Honest question - is there a single guy on this team you do like?
  6. Liam officially cancer free. Huge news for Liam, and huge news for the club
  7. DEfinitely not Rick Hahn
  8. Ones a left handed burly 1B that sucks defensively and the other a right handed hitting CF that could go get em. They are literally not comparable at all baseball wise.
  9. Where did you catch Hahn’s comments? Cannot seem to find.
  10. Bummer. I was pretty excited about him a year ago.
  11. They literally have almost nothing in common other than being white.
  12. He is guaranteed ~$25M over 23-24 (which is still a bargain). So you may get your wish before too long, as Sox probably aren't picking up those options unless Eloy is pretty good the next 18 months.
  13. Yeah, its disappointing. Not sure I am at pathetic yet. Some young studs just don't pan out as hoped whether it be injuries, talent or desire. Eloy is still can be elite offensive player when he plays - he certainly was 2nd half of last year. That has value. We knew pretty early on he wasn't going to be a good defender, or a pinnacle of health. The Sox still did absolutely unbelievable in that trade getting Cease and Eloy for a mid rotation (at best) SP. This is yet another disappointing bump in the road for Eloy. But its (hopefully) a short term thing, and he can still play 120+. If not, life goes on and thankfully Sox don't have a shortage of guys that can fill in at DH without being awful.
  14. LOL, Eloy's shoelace would definitely get caught resulting in a torn patella. Fair concern.
  15. Sox should him go hit the treadmill in the clubhouse during the half inning Sox are playing defense when his PA is coming up.
  16. That may be the case. It still was wise to remove him from the OF. Eloy is never going to play 150+. Just have to hope to get 120-130 out of him annually at the DH spot.
  17. It’s simple math. Keeping Eloy out of the outfield reduces his chances of getting injured substantially. Doesn’t mean he won’t get injured doing other stuff, but it definitely lowers the overall opportunities for him to get hurt. Not really that complicated.
  18. Fegan said it happened running the bases in the 7th on Monday.
  19. Doubtful, I am sure Sheets will be in there against most RHP. This also quickly underscores why the whole "lets trade Gavin Sheets for a bucket of balls" movement on WST as ST came to a close was the dumbest little 48 hour thing. Gavin was always going to be needed at some point, just happened sooner than we all hoped.
  20. I was wondering why Burger didn't play yesterday. Now we know.
  21. Right. It literally lowers the opportunities for him to get injured substantially. Ultimately, Eloy would probably get hurt working an office job. This one is frustrating tho -- totally out of the blue.
  22. I wouldn't mind a couple hour delay pushing this to a 3-4pm start one little bit.

Cease had a bad spring too and looked like the best pitcher on the planet the other day. These guys don't really care about ST. They're just warming their arms up.
