  1. 1. Rodon 2. Adams 3. Danish 4. Hawkins 5. Anderson 6. Johnson 7. Beck 8. Adolfo 9. Castillo 10. May I went with two wild cards at 8 and 9 but not without solid reasoning. I think that Micker will be a top 5 prospect maybe even top three when the season is over. I like his ceiling too much and he has elite power and bat speed according to the scouting reports and I like that combo too much. With Castillo when the Sox signed him in 2012, the word on the street was that he had a advanced feel for hitting and power, I can not wait to see him play for the AZL team this year. Adams is very projectable and I think that he will add more velocity and develop into a solid front of the rotation starter for the Sox down the line. The same goes for Danish who had a solid outing the Sox this week.
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 02:33 PM) Round 6 White Sox select CF Louie Lechich San Diego Is it just me or is it apparent that the Sox are just drafting college players who will sign below slot, so they can have more to spend on Rodon and Adams?
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 02:18 PM) I feel like 'JJ's have high MLB success. He was ahead of Reetz at some publications
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 02:13 PM) To me, they didn't like any real players at 4, so they took best bat available as a trade chip. Schwarber will probably be good, but he'll likely be a really good trade chip too (though he may eat himself into a DH position). But the rest of the draft has been bizarre. I would have imagined a bunch of lottery tickets but this just looks like saving money on the draft this year. If I were Theo I would have drafted Jeff Hoffman and sign under slot and draft best pitcher on the board for the next four rounds, giving me some much needed pitching depth.
  5. Lets hope some of these guys fall to the Sox: Keith Weisenberg - RHP Micheal Cantu - 1B/C/3B JJ Schwarz - C Bryce Montes de Oca - RHP David Peterson - LHP Kel Johnson - OF
  6. That is a great pick by the Sox with Spencer Adams, who should have been a first round pick in my opinion. He projects to be a front of the rotation guy and he can be something special with his plus stuff.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 09:47 PM) Never enough catcher depth, especially when they develop terribly slowly. The Sox drafted 3 catchers in 2012, none of which have amounted to anything
  8. I was praying to God, Tom Cruise and Oprah that Gatewood would fall to the Sox. Hoping for Jackson Reetz
  9. I really wanted Forrest Wall to the Sox, good pick by the Rockies
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) He's going to be a top 30 guy in all of the minors probably, so yeah, doubt it's even close. Yeah after this draft and the international signing period the Sox have a strong chance of easily having a 15 farm system, maybe even top ten.
  11. We all agree that Rodon is the top prospect in the system, assuming that he signs?
  12. NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo In all seriousness let's hope the team can sign Rodon at something reasonable and I wish him the best in his career and the he can reach the majors quickly.
  13. Where was Jackson compared to Konerko?
  14. If I am Rick Hahn and both Kolek and Aiken are off the board, I would draft Alex Jackson over Carlos Rodon.
  15. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 28, 2014 -> 05:36 PM) Yankees could eat the rest of Dunn's salary in a deal as well. Adding him could make a lot of sense for both clubs as the Yankees could use Dunn as well. In any deal that the Sox make with the Yankees, I want Gary Sanchez back.
  16. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 26, 2014 -> 04:19 PM) I'd gladly take Nunez and Ynoa. I would too, although I am only familiar with Ynoa. With that being said, I am highly anticipating this year's DSL team, with Luis Castillo finally along with other prospects like Cruz, Otano, Feliz and newer guys like Beltre, Feliz, and Reyes. Plus Micker Adolfo is making his debut with the new AZL team this summer. Although I would love for Rick Hahn and the Sox bring in more scouts from other teams in order to improve the team from a scouting and player development standpoint, they have quickly put together one of the best international scouting departments in all of baseball in my opinion.
  17. 1. Kolek 2. Aiken 3. Jackson 4. Rodon
  18. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 16, 2014 -> 11:19 PM) Kolek could probably close games for us down the stretch Kolek is a starting pitcher, if he aj closing games for the Sox then they failed at developing him properly.
  19. I live in Little Italy so its a few stops away on the red line. I am really interested in the amateur side of things, so you can count me in.
  20. My dream draft goes Round 1: Tyler Kolek - RHP Round 2-5: Jackson Reetz - C Forrest Wall - 2B/OF Spencer Adams - RHP Rounds 6-10: Kel Johnson - OF/1B I wouldn't be mad if the Sox went overslot to draft Gatewood in Round Two, another guy who could fall is Monte Harrison because he is a two sport athlete and holds a football scholarship to play at the Nebraska so any team will have to go overlot to sign him.
  21. You're Rick Hahn and Aiken and Kolek are off the board, who do you take at pick #3?
  22. I think the team is going to be sellers at the deadline, I don't have faith in the way the bullpen has been performing and in the depth of the starting rotation.
  23. If I were Rick Hahn I would definitely be shopping around Alexi to contending teams that are in need of a bat, Seimen has showed how expendable he is this year with the way that he has played. And I would be shopping around Danks to contending teams as we get closer to the deadline, but I would only trade him if I got a good package of prospects back.
  24. I hope the Sox stay away from Hoffman, Beede, Nola, and the other college pitchers. Outside of Rondon I don't any projection from them. I hope they draft either Aiken, Jackson or Kolek because all three players have high ceilings and can be difference makers at the highest level. This year's crop of college pitchers just screams average to me and you don't draft average in the first round. Hopefully Reetz will be there in the second round, I have a feeling that Gatewood will be there and I think that the Sox will be able to lock him up.
