  1. Lots of chatter about Tommy Rees being shown the door at ND. And honestly, I wouldn’t hate it. He’s a good coach but he’s been awful at recruiting QBs during his time at ND. And unfortunately for him, that’s the lifeblood of the sport
  2. If Washington were the guy, they would’ve announced it by now.
  3. Katz wasn’t hired to coach one guy. he gets no credit for developing Cease? Kopech, Cueto, Martin?
  4. Ethan Katz and the bullpen coach, are the only guys who should be allowed to stay. And with that being said, pitching coach and hitting coach hires have been more of a FO decision but this is encouraging, it looks like coaches like Boston and McEwing are gone
  5. If Espada is the guy, I wonder who from Houston he brings with him for his staff.
  6. Any Manny Machados available this winter?
  7. Is there a bigger whimp than Luke Getsy calling plays right now?
  8. With the 2023 being the last year much of the current core is under contract, I wonder if that will affect the Sox draft plans at all.
  9. I wouldn’t compare Washington’s PAST cocaine addiction to LaRussa’s CURRENT alcoholism.
  10. Counsell, Cash, Martinez, Hyde, Cora, Boone, Servais, Snitker, and Roberts are all typically regarded as the better managers in the game. Some of them are considered to be the very best. They were all hired as first time managers (in the ML level). If the Sox want to find a good manager, it’s probably better to go with a first time guy.
  11. And they definitely should explore trading Hendriks.
  12. The Sox have to improve their walk rate, hit less ground balls, hit more fly balls and be more left handed. So I’m hoping the team is able to jettison Harrison and Garcia.
  13. You might need Engle to platoon for Colas once he’s up but you should be able to find a cheaper alternative.
  14. I scanned the Multiverse and in no reality were the Sox going to acquire Soto, they didn’t have the ammunition to pull off that trade. You think the Sox could complete with the packages offered by SD and STL? I’m glad they didn’t go after Scherzer, I think it’s smart to avoid spending big money on pitchers over 35.
  15. Yes, I’m of the opinion that he should be off the team
  16. It would be a huge boom to the outfield defense. Maybe you can play Robert in RF occasionally to limit the wear and tear on him. If the Sox had an average defense and we’re average at base running, how many more games do they win?
  17. Brandon Nimmo is my number one want this off-season. Kolton Wong too, would love to see a Sosa/Wong platoon at 2B
  18. There is nothing more meaningless than minor league W-L records. The minors are for player development, not winning games. And the farm, while it ranks in the bottom third has its share of intriguing players. Which should mean for healthier farm going forward, where it was strictly top heavy during the rebuild. You want intriguing players 1-30, not just 1-10
  19. TIL that Vaughn is one of the leaders in hard hit ball rate, he ranked fifth right behind Juan Soto. His value in terms of WAR will increase once he's out of the outfield and at first. It should also help his physical longevity as well
  20. Hope the Sox interview Kai Correa, the Giants bench coach. He’s regarded as the best infield coach in all of baseball
  21. Someone should ask Rick, what exactly does he do here.
  22. No Bochy, no Giraldi, no Maddon. Some new blood is needed.
  23. Why was Hahn speaking? He should’ve wait to spoke til after the season.
