I said after this past draft and I’ll say it again. It takes 4 years to rebuild a farm system, the Sox are in the midst of that process. I am very curious to see where they rank post draft after having the 15th pick. I also think that Mena and Ramos will be top 100 prospects at the season’s end.

I know it looked like a certainty when Warren was announced but I still can't believe it. ************** I hope the Bears use their cap space to address the LOS on both sides of the ball, get a corner opposite Johnson and add more speed on offense. I do not want them to spend any money on any of the RBs coming out, I think would be a tremendous waste of cash. I think they can find someone in the draft to replace Montgomery. I like the RBs from Tulane and UCLA respectively.

When the Sox go up for sale, it will truly be such a rare opportunity. Seldom is a MLB team in a major market like Chicago made available.

The Dodgers and Pirates are the exception. Catching is really dire across baseball, Sox included.

I’m hoping the best for him and his family. Going by him on the mound, he’s going to fight this with everything. Hope for a smooth and speedy treatment and recovery.

This is the best Bears season in a long time. They have a QB worth building around long term. They have the most cap space in the league. And they have the 1st overall pick. A+ season. A+ first year of a rebuild.

Wells isn’t a catcher long term.

What about Rougned Odor for the Sox? A platoon with Sosa and him is intriguing.

Some more good AAAA depth guys please. I like this signing for the Sox.

I still have a hard time believing that the Sox are serious about winning and I doubt the Front Office when they say they’re trying to make the team better when Leury Garcia is still on the roster. Getting rid of him, makes them better instantly.

Conforto was never an option for the Sox once they signed Benintendi. They need to add a RH bat to balance out the OF guys, I like Adam Duvall.

He’s a bad defender at C, he’s played outfielder before and like I said, the bat is special.

If the Mets want Hendriks and if I’m the Sox, I need Kevin Parada to come back to me in any deal. He’s probably a LF in the big leagues but the bat is great. Move him from behind the dish because the bat is so good.

They don’t need another LHH OFer. They needed a right handed hitter there.

OFers can be valuable without being able to hit for power. He’s going to be a plus defender in CF and a plus plus runner, and he can hit for average. I think he has a really high floor but is a high ceiling guy as well.

The starting OF is already complete but I’d like to see them get a RHH 4th OF to platoon for Colas against lefties. Bonus points if it’s someone who’s OBP oriented.

I wouldn’t be against this as it would mean that the Sox would be getting some good prospect capital coming their way if they take on a lot of his salary. Id hope the Sox sign a veteran backup like Tucker Barnhart who’s solid at calling games and hits from the left side.

My favorite guy in the class right now is Jacob Wilson. High contact guy who doesn’t strike out, great OBP guy as he also takes his walks. He can play SS, 3B and LF. He hit 12 homers last year after hitting 4 as a freshman. BA has him has a top ten player but prep guys always rise late into the draft and teams always look to take deals in the top ten, it’s not out of realm of possibility that he falls into the teens. I like Enrique Bradfield, Hurston Waldrep, Rhett Lowder, and Kevin McGonigle for the Sox. The Sox could tap into any demographic with this pick but they need to add some more position players into the system after going arm heavy this past draft. They also need to keep adding athletes and up the middle guys into the system, especially with their high picks

With another draft and international class.m, the Sox system will be pretty interesting come July. It takes about 3 or 4 years to rebuild a farm, and the upcoming draft will be Shirley’s third full draft as Scouting Director and I’m very pleased by him and Marco Paddy. I just wished they could’ve drafted and developed guys like this during the rebuild.
