And That's a White Sox Winner !

Gio pitches well enough.

Burger with a big double with the bases loaded to drive in 3 .

Sox now 1 game over .500 against the Central.

Lopez gets the Sox out of a big jam. Kelly continues to look great and Graveman finishes it off with a perfect 9th.

Good win. I can see why the Royals have struggled. They are not good.

Kelly is as filthy as can be.

Nice run in last 5.

Playing really good ball.  Starts and ends with starting pitcher.

Amazing what happens when Diekman and Ruiz were fired into the sun.

White Sox are now 10-8 in May.

Damn shame that they dug themselves such a hole in April.

Starting pitching and bullpen have been looking good.

1st back to back series wins. 11-8 over their last 19 (.579 win percent)

They are taking care of the teams they should be beating / are better than. Their pitching has been the major reason.

If they can win a few series against average / decent teams, starting with their week on the road, they can start gaining confidence and perhaps playing better.

Their first challenging stretch will be @ Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle, than home to face Texas and Boston.

115 games left. A .579 clip the rest of the way puts them at 84 wins which might be enough in the Central.....NO I HAVE NOT BEEN DRINKING

Amazing how much better the team looks like when the bullpen isn't getting lit up. After Burger hit that double, KC was finished. Giolito came up with some big pitches. It is also amazing the Sox lost three out of four to this team last week. Should of at least split by merely showing up.

Have you noticed this board has changed to where almost every post seems reasonable to sound to correct? Lot of good Sox takes on here most of them either correct IMO or close to correct.

Whatever scout told the Sox to take Burger should get a raise. He definitely can hit. I know he's far from a complete player but he can hit and stands out on a team like this with a lot of horrid hitters.

The Royals appear even worse team than the Sox by far. Nice win. If the pitching is this good I'll eat my words gladly about the bullpen. Still not a believer but the division is so bad mabe Sox can have one winning streak to negate that terrible losing streak while avoiding another 5 to 10 game losing streak. Another stretch like that and it's back to talking about one of the worst Sox teams in history.

In summation: Not a believer, but nice win today.

Defense was fun to watch today.

Nobody can stop this team.

When he was drafted, a lot of scouts were actually claiming his T-bar hitting style with arms/elbow/loading mechanism would limit him to big-time NCAA success and major struggles in the pros.

Don't stop believin'

They should be. They are starting their rebuild. The Sox meanwhile are supposedly in the middle of a contention window.

Again, I'll take the win but after the first inning they were basically shut down for four innings by a pitcher who was 0-7 with an ERA of over seven.

All of those bullpen guys throw really wicked s%*#.  It appears they've figured out where to throw it.  Otherwise, it doesn't take much to make hope swell in the chest of a Sox fan.  Count me in.

Jake in the postgame interview also said he likes DHing....that is refreshing.

Not to be nitpicky but didn't they win back to back series against the twins and reds? One can be forgiven for forgetting any highlights thus far in 2023. All that said they need to rattle off 5 or 6 in a row to "feel" some real progress.

Gio struggled and got into some jams I wished he could have avoided, but came through nicely and ended those jams without major damage.

The Burger 3 run double was not only clutch, but as smooth with his ability to go opposite field like only a veteran player would do.

Great bullpen and great fielding, which has killed us this season.

I'm happy for the series win and 2nd series win in a row, but we are doing this against bad teams. Let's see how the boys can do against the tougher teams on the schedule coming up later in the season. We have a 115 games left. We have 47 games left with teams over .500

Twins 7
Angels 7
Yankees 6
Rangers 6
Dodgers 3
Marlins 3
Blue Jays 3
Braves 3
Brewers 3
Orioles 3
Red Sox 3

We should get some good prospects for Gio and Kelly

I'm just going by what the post game show said  so if it's wrong blame them !

#TankLoss

Can't remember when Yoan has looked this comfortable at the plate. I've noticed his swing first approach is a 180 degree

change. The only time in his career he ever did this was 2019, when he tore it up.

Moncada is fun to watch on D. If only he could stay healthy. No reason he couldn't be a gold glover

The same scouts that said Andrew Vaughan was a sure fire great hitter in the Majors? Scouting is a crap shoot.
