Interesting to see Addison Reed on the trade market again.
We should check out Detwiler and Doubront (lefty again, so that works a bit against him) for the back end of the rotation.
Among outfielders, there's Cuddyer, Quentin, three Phillies (Brown, Mayberry and Revere) as well as Desmond Jennings.
Jennings and Brown would seem to be the most interesting...as Cuddyer is likely to stay in COL.
Would likewise be interested to see Hahn check in on Detwiler. He could be a nice under the radar trade for cheap.

I do not believe Quintana is better than Samardzija. He is more valuable and more of a guarantee going forward, but I do not believe he is better. Frankly, he may not be worse either, but I think it's crazy talk to say that Quintana is better than Samardzija.
And what exactly makes you feel Samardzija is a better pitcher?

The just showed Garcia taking some flyballs before the game. Of course he dropped it.
Was just going to post the same thing

Justin Morneau went from the most feared hitter in the AL to almost out of the game to finally recovering this season in Colorado...but how often do you hear his name referred to like it was 5-7 years ago?
Didn't Fernando Vina also have concussions after he got run over by Albert Belle?
Justin Morneau was the most feared hitter in the AL?

I'd consider Castro for Avi
No nonono.
On a side note, was anyone else surprised they consider Stanton a gold glover?

If you're a player on the free agent market, and two teams offer you a similar deal, are you more likely to sign with the team coming off a 67 win season or an 81 win season?
I think money is the main determinate regardless, but I think it's plainly obvious that the White Sox are a young team that is about to be pretty scary. If I'm a free agent, I can definitely see playoffs and a possible championship on the horizon with a couple tweaks to this team, most notably bullpen and defense.

Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 12m
Sources: #BlueJays exploring market for IFers. Kawasaki/Tolleson platoon at 2B, Francisco .600 OPS in June, poor numbers vs. lefties.
#BlueJays could upgrade at second or third and play Lawrie at either spot when he returns. Team wants SP, but open to any form of upgrade.
Gordon, Conor...it is your time to shine this weekend.

We need a C, LF, and a bullpen. Take care of those and they'll be watchable. Maybe.
Russell Martin, Tomas or Melky Cabrera, and then Street, Gregerson, and Andrew Miller.

Anderson's probably not going to be ready until 2016, at the earliest.
With Micah Johnson and Carlos Sanchez to also somehow find playing time for, they're not going to move Gillapsie until Davidson's play at Charlotte forces them to.
At any rate, there's just no way they would move Conor in the middle of the season to a middle infield position. It would be a complete and utter disaster of epic proportions.
I honestly think Conor is destined for 1B/DH next season
