  1. I want a hummer from Kate Upton, but I need to be realistic as well
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2014 -> 02:14 PM) Haven't seen all of their big prospects but have seen several of them on their way up. He's the first where I was legitimately impressed. Bryant is gonna be real
  3. How soon does he go to Birmingham?
  4. Abreu activated for tomorrow's game
  5. Any interesting college arms throwing today? Wish I watched Nola's start yesterday. Caught a little of Weavers.
  6. I know as white sox fans we aren't suppose to be excited about any prospects, but I'm really happy that both Hawkins and Anderson are playing well
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ May 29, 2014 -> 12:56 PM) That should have said, "He's awesome". Sale has 36 innings. Aces should have 72 after 11 starts. Danks and Quintana get almost just as much credit for being there and making all of their starts. And that's not a rip on Sale, but aces (the guys you rely on to carry the load) make all of their starts. Note to self, the following arent aces: Chris Sale Justin Verlander Masahiro Tanaka Yu Darvish Anibal Sanchez Tim Hudson Stephen Strasburg Cliff Lee Michael Wacha Zach Greinke Clayton Kershaw Jose Fernandez Lol.
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ May 29, 2014 -> 12:02 PM) Sale B+ (He awesome, but I can't give an 'ace' an A if he misses half of his starts) Quintana B- (need more innings per start, but very solid) Danks B (see Quintana, but great last start)

I'm really looking forward to seeing just how the middle of the infield situation pans out
  10. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:33 PM) Andersonville? I just moved from there! Lived there five years. Incredible neighborhood. Last apartment was Clark/Carmen. Love this neighborhood, just moved here in February. Live at Clark & Gregory.
  11. QUOTE (almagest @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:24 PM) Hello, neighbor! Hello! We should meet for some beers and a game at a bar around here some time
  12. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:07 PM) Where the hell is Andersonville? Right next to Uptown & Ravenswood
  13. Hasn't rained in hours in Andersonville
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2014 -> 12:27 PM) I wonder who is getting fed their information from whom? It is obvious that someone has legit sources, and others are being fed BS to cover the scent. The questions is who is who? Should be interesting to look back after and see who had it right
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) Board survey time....who is your wish list for the 3rd pick? Fathom's Sure To Be Wrong Wish List (I was against drafting Wacha and Trout, but loved the Beckham pick) 1. Rodon 2. Nola 3. Aiken 1.) Rodon 2.) Aiken 3.) Nola
  16. That's a good $20 off the price for saturday
  17. Sale is gonna be a bad f*ckin dude tonight. He's been on the shelf for way longer than he wanted and he is ready to mow down some Yankees.
  18. Question for the masses: I want to subscribe to either Baseball America or Baseball Prospectus and am wondering which you guys prefer for prospect information? I enjoy both the Effectively Wild and Baseball America podcasts quite a bit and can't decide which I'd rather give my money to.
  19. QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ May 21, 2014 -> 02:46 PM) Since the team has no long-reliever, they could release Francisco, move Carroll to mop-up duties, and put Sale in the rotation. This would actually be the right play. Of course, you would need to move Johnson up to fill Carroll's spot and move someone down to make room.
  20. I know a lot of people are hoping to move him midseason and understandably so, but is there a chance the Sox could extend him a qualifying offer after the season? Im not sure how qualifying offers quite work, but there is a lack of solid left handed bats in free agency this year and we could still land a pick if he turns it down.
  21. Rienzo has done more than enough to earn a spot in this rotation for the remainder of the year
  22. I have nothing to base my claim on, but I think Abreu will ultimately get his K rate under 20% and his walk rate up to around 11-12%.
  23. What did someone just say to Alexei in the dugout? Looks like De Aza had to separate him from someone
