2014 Draft class
QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 18, 2014 -> 10:21 AM) I remain more excited about Turner than anyone else. The fact that we have the opportunity to score either Turner or Hoffmann makes me very excited. Looking a couple years down the line, a 1-2 of Turner and Eaton in front of Avi and JDA makes me very excited.

Expectations: Jose Abreu
Heard Laurence Holmes say on 670 earlier tonight that Abreu was putting on a clinic in the batting cage today. Everybody is taking note of his work ethic and approach. I am really excited about this guy, I think we have the steal of the offseason.

Ventura to get extended
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 12:27 PM) I think the team is headed in a good direction and its evident from the front office down. I like what they have been doing. Same. Im really liking the direction this franchise is headed. If they slow down the aggressive promotions of their minor leaguers, I will be really happy. I think having Robin around will play a huge part in Davidson's development.

MLB.com Top 100
Erik Johnson in at 70 and Matt Davidson at 80, Courtney Hawkins drops out of the top 100. Thoughts? Pretty fair IMO, excited to have a few guys on there, expect more next season.

2014 Draft class
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 10:07 AM) Keep in mind that Rock said Rick Hahn loves Trea Turner. Could be a Jose Reyes type player if all the dominoes fall right. If Hoffman doesn't put up some numbers to match his stuff we could see NC State players taken 1-2. That being said, I hate even talking about where players are going to go at this point because it is all too early. Turner can be a very valuable player in this climate even if his power doesn't project to be a big part of his professional game. At the very least he should be a guy should with great range at SS and plus-plus speed to cause some disruption on offense. I would be more than ok with Turner coming to the Sox. Turner batting 1 with Eaton in the 2 hole sounds sexy to me.

Top White Sox Prospects - 2014 Pre-Season

Hahn's next move?
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 12:13 AM) In the 3 or 4 starts I saw of his, he looked okay. But statistically speaking, he was not very good in those 5 starts. The starts I saw reminded me of Axelrod. I'm sure he will end up being better than that though. It won't be hard to surpass that bar. In his 5 starts, he had 3 of which were quality. All but one of the teams he threw against were playoff contenders. I think he did pretty damn well considering the circumstances. Didnt help that he had NO defense behind him in his first two games. I will agree that he needs to get his pitch counts down by attacking the zone more and walking less people, but I thought his September was very encouraging for this team.

Hahn's next move?
QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jan 18, 2014 -> 08:29 AM) Okay, this is weird and probably means nothing, but my email in-box this morning from White Sox.com had a bunch of new items to buy. The usual stuff, coats, a Luis Aparicio collage, a Jason Castro collage - A JASON CASTRO collage? How weird is that? Interesting...
