This is gonna be a 3 team trade that nets Bogaerts and Profar coming to the Sox. Obvious 3 way deal is blantantly obvious.

I know no one here likes Rios, but why not just hold onto him and make him a qualifying offer when his contract is over? We definitely risk being stuck with him longer, but if he turns it down, we get a pick for him which will probably end up being more valuable then anything we will get in trades.

Starting to get a bad feeling that nothing of consequence is going to happen here and Hahn has been overplaying his hand. Atleast they are a game away from being the second overall pick.

I'm starting to think my ideal deadline would look something like this: -Peavy and cash to the Red Sox for Cecchini -Rios and cash to the Pirates for Dickerson and Kingham -Reed and Lindstrom to LA for Joc Pederson With that plan, you are keeping your defense up the middle in Alexei, Gordon, and De Aza and then in 2014, you are giving Cecchini a chance at winning the 3B job, Pederson either LF or RF, Dickerson the 1B job, and Kingham could break the rotation in 2015.
