  1. Well we survived this disaster of a season. More to come later.
  2. if they lose today they end the year with 13 losses in the last 15 games if I remember right.
  3. Good that means Getz can't try to sign him for next year.
  4. So has this franchise basically since 2007 if you are being honest.
  5. And yet another game where the Sox had a lead going into the 7th inning or later...and lost. That's 17 times friends and neighbors this year. I remember a few weeks ago a poster was saying he they thought Wilson was a good relief pitcher. Well OK then. One more day and this abomination of a season will be completed.
  6. 10th time this year the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and came back to win. But this was an embarrassing game.
  7. You forgot the choke job at the end of the 2012 season.
  8. Speaking of starting pitching: https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/09/25/jonathan-cannon-second-half-demoted-white-sox-yankees https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/09/25/white-sox-top-pitching-prospect-noah-schultz-embraces-growing-pains
  9. If JR were to fire him they'd have to 'waste another year' and we can't have that. So he stays.
  10. That's now 11 losses in the last 12 games. So much for second half momentum. 😆
  11. He knew what he was getting into when he took the job. I have no sympathy for him. And he's being well paid isn't he?
  12. The ghosts of Billy Pierce, Early Wynn, Gary Peters and Joe Horlen.
  13. That's exactly what is going to happen especially because of labor uncertainty.
  14. Maybe but based on the results the past few years they can't keep their pitchers healthy.
  15. Since some folks were ready to start speculating on how next season will be better it should be noted this team has lost 10 of 11.
  16. I'll be curious to read what those who have been defending him are saying when the Sox have their fourth straight season of 100+ losses in 2026, which will be Getz's third full season in charge.
  17. The MLB record is five straight years set by the Phillies. The A.L. record is four straight by the Senators from 1961 through 1964.
  18. First time in the 125-year history of the franchise they have had three straight years of losing at least 100 games and the fourth time in the last eight years. Total complete embarrassment. And to think Getz was hired because "they couldn't waste a year..." Clown operation from top to bottom. 🤡 Nothing changes until the stain of Jerry Reinsdorf has been bleached from this franchise.
  19. If they play it will be tough for the Sox to win. Maybe if the final five games are all rained out they can avoid 100 losses! 😆
  20. From the Sun-Times: Cue the attendance jokes The Sox’ final homestand of the season last weekend put their 2025 home attendance total at 1,445,738. That’s an increase of almost 5% from their historically bad 2024 season, when they drew 1,380,733 to 35th and Shields, the lowest total since 1999. But this year’s modest increase in Rate Field crowds still marks their second-lowest non-COVID season attendance this century, and promises to keep them among MLB’s cellar dwellers. The Sox last cracked 2 million paying customers — a decent barometer for the American League average — in 2022.
  21. FYI, Beni is now hurt: https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/09/23/andrew-benintendi-season-over-injury-white-sox
  22. Taylor has already told the Sun-Times he wants to start.
