Didn't see this posted. Read a few days ago a story where they quoted Robin as saying Avila reinjured that hamstring while running. No idea now when or if he'll be back this season. I suspect he won't be around next year with the club since he'll have missed roughly half the season if the doesn't return. Mark

How has he looked so far in the minor leagues? I thought I saw where at first he was struggling. Mark

A rare item. August 7, 1974 - Comiskey Park was the site for one of the most exciting games of the early 1970’s and it involved Nolan Ryan. The flamethrower took a no-hitter into the ninth inning against the Sox and led 1-0 thanks to a Frank Robinson home run. After getting the first out in the inning however it all fell apart for him. Dick Allen beat out an infield hit spoiling the no-hitter and Carlos May reached on an error. Ken Henderson ripped a single to center to tie the game and then with two out, Billy Sharp singled to right to win it. The Sox beat the Angels 2-1 getting all three of their hits in the final inning. I actually have the entire last of the 9th inning TV broadcast which considering the age looks very good and condensed down part of it for the audio for this clip. The state of the Sox bullpen that this guy is even on the roster (and you can throw Turner in there as well) 2. The state of the Sox minor league system that there are basically no other options. If what the Boston Herald reported today is accurate, that JR does not want to trade Sale, I suspect the team will be "going for it" yet again in 2017, the last year of the "window / plan." That means the moves that will be made will be complimentary in nature along with "hoping" to catch lightening in a bottle. No major trades or franchise altering deals in my opinion. Mark
