That was 2017-2019 (I'm assuming). In 2020, I do remember that the bunting pretty much stopped

I agree and I'm really surprised that you're one of the only ones who's upset enough about it to post about it in the TLR thread. To me, giving away 4 outs in a single game is just as bad as any of his in-game blunders with the bullpen/forgetting rules

5/26 Cardinals vs. White Sox
I disagree. When Robert got hurt, he talked about how it wasn't that big of a deal and it wouldn't be an Eloy-level recovery, until the next day it was. I don't think it's a good thing but I also don't think it's worth reading into

5/26 Cardinals vs. White Sox
I want 27 bunts tomorrow or I'm never watching again. You guys just don't understand the true genius of the strategy

5/26 Cardinals vs. White Sox
Bunting their way to another 1-0 loss

2021 Catch-All
True, they wouldn't have to. It's just a possibility that I never see mentioned

The TLR Manager Thread
It very conveniently only included comments from Jim Leyland and Walt Jocketty, and their only real argument was that the White Sox have a good record. I read it expecting it to be bad, but I wrongly assumed that there would at least be some nuance

Grandal Vs. McCann
I'd argue a 30% walk rate has a higher (but still remote) chance of sustaining than a .120 BABIP

2021 Catch-All
I wouldn't be surprised if the UFOs themselves, such as the "tic tac" ones in a lot of the leaks, are extraterrestrial beings themselves. I think movies and books have conditioned us to expect something with 4 limbs and a face, but there doesn't necessarily have to be something inside these UFOs, if that makes sense

Rick Hahn will speak to media today around 4-5 pm
Don't they do this on the first day of every homestand?

2021 Catch-All
Not sure if I'd even call us smart. If that technology exists, one can only imagine the other technologies that must exist that surely surpass human comprehension

Showalter says Britton was readying for a possible save situation, or could have pitched the 12th in a tie game. They had started getting Bundy ready in response to Jimenez getting in trouble.

5/21 Chicago @ New York 6:05
It's really impressive trolling. He has had like half of the entire board at his throat for a full week now

One knee catchers vs two
Well said. It's obviously too early to make any bold proclamations, but in the long run, the increased offensive potential probably outweighs the runs you lose by going to one knee

Perfect, there's nothing I wanted more than to hear what Chris Russo thinks about all of this

The players' group texts have to be off the rails- 5/18 White Sox @ Twins 6:40 PM
When has it happened before? I believe you but just don't remember- 5/18 White Sox @ Twins 6:40 PM
Astudillo was yelling at the Sox from the dugout after the final out- Steve Stone / Yoan Moncada's "Lack of Effort and Interest"
Stone even ripped on him tonight for the double play early in the game where Mercedes lined it right to Sano, who doubled Moncada off at first. There was nothing Moncada could have done- he froze on a line drive, and even if he somehow immediately ran back to first base instead, he still would have been easily out. It was a weirdly forced snipe given that literally any player in baseball is getting doubled off there unless they just don't even attempt to take leads before pitches. He's up to a .399 OBP and 6.4 fWAR pace after tonight, by the way.- Steve Stone / Yoan Moncada's "Lack of Effort and Interest"
Fegan does that a lot. He's a terrific writer but he often inserts his opinion into his work and presents it as a fact. In 2019, he often suggested that Moncada was a poor defensive 3B and wrote it as if everybody would agree, which I didn't understand given that both the eye test and all the advanced stats confirmed that Moncada was really good over at 3B, and of course now he's GG caliber.- 5/15: Kansas City @ Chicago White Sox 6:10 CDT
