  1. Coming from someone who thinks/has always thought that Chris Archer is very overrated, that's probably a fair return considering his contract. Meadows and Glasnow alone would've been light. Baz could end up being the true headliner.
  2. If anyone wants a laugh, search "Quintana" on Twitter and just scroll. Cubs fans are freaking out
  3. And while that probably is an exaggeration, based on just pure tools I don't see many ways Robert doesn't make a good starting CF if he's healthy. It's just a question of how good- starter, all-star, or MVP type? He has the highest ceiling of any prospect in baseball aside from Vlad Jr.
  4. How common is it to have 4 catchers in September? I don't see any playing time for Seby unless we DFA Smith or something.
  5. As an absolute ceiling you are right, those are the only "best case" comps for Robert, as he is a speedy CF with very few flaws if everything works out. I don't understand why people have been down on his hit tool lately on the board
  6. If that's the case, there are about a million more rational responses to the situation than cutting up each and every uniform with scissors.
  7. Stephens has been pretty bad lately. At this point I don't see how he deserves the 5th spot more than Adams or Guerrero.
  8. I wouldn't even say it's obvious that Covey makes another start for us this season, let alone begin 2019 in the rotation.
  9. Ah, I miss the days when Rick Hahn was a big idiot for not signing Tyler Chatwood and Lucas Duda
  10. I'd be willing to bet that this happened. I'm sure the entire 25 man roster was placed on waivers. There's literally no harm in doing so.
  11. What makes you say that? If anything, he seems like a guy whose ISO will be way below the league average to me. Lots of singles with some doubles, few triples, next to no homers
  12. The difference is OBP. I like OPS but it overweights SLG% and underweights OBP. So the difference between a .310 and .345 OBP is what does it for me.
  13. He doesn't need to hit for power but he does need to walk in order to offset that. His approach and stats both suggest that he has minimal interest in walking. A .300/.310/.360 hitter is not good, but a .300/.345/.360 hitter is.
  14. Can't tell if sarcasm but it's actually a good idea.
  15. Not used to seeing Nicky chase so many pitches out of the zone
  16. I was going off the post above that claimed he got screwed. Just went back and watched and if anything I'd say that was just a really good pitch. Even if he swung I don't think he was hitting that, but I do agree that he should have tried on that one.
  17. A ball is a ball. I hate this logic. Him having a good eye is a strength, not a weakness.
  18. Whether you think he should be moved to the pen or not, I hope we can agree that Covey should not start another game for us this season. Plenty of guys in AAA who should get a shot. Any of Kopech/Stephens/Adams/Guerrero.
  19. He is 100% wearing 74, and they will let him.
  20. He strikes me as a guy who's gonna come up and immediately be a stud defensively. He has the range of Adam Engel, but an actual decent arm to go with it.
