  1. Mike Huckabee? Racism? No way!
  2. Not sure what to make of the video. But I also wouldn't trust the guy whose tweets you guys linked in here. I've seen him on Twitter, he's even more pessimistic than Fathom. He was tweeting about how Dylan Covey is "likely out for the season" after that minor flare-up today.
  3. Sooo Steele Walker anyone? Is he not gonna sign?
  4. Good to know that Farmer has no idea what he's talking about. Glad I haven't been able to catch a game on the radio this season.
  5. He had a very, very high BABIP before the injury. Recently, it has been falling a lot. That's why it seems like it's higher than it should be
  6. Quite the inning
  7. One of the few bright spots of our season at the Major League level has been Tim Anderson. Coming off what was a rough 2017 for him in many ways, he has made huge strides defensively, increased his walk rate, decreased his strikeout rate, become more of a stolen base threat, more of a menace on the bases, more of a home run threat, and still has a very low BABIP (.276, was .328 last year) which suggests better looking offensive numbers by the end of the season. Defensively, he still botches a routine play here and there, but he also makes rangey, flashy plays and has gotten better as the season has progressed. It's been fun to watch him grow and I'm confident we have our shortstop of the future. That said, looking at where he was at the end of last season, it would probably have been considered a surprise to learn that he has likely been our most valuable player through 75 games. While he still has room for improvement, it is clear that he has begun to iron out irritating mistakes and has become a more complete hitter offensively. I'm sure more improvements will come. Watching him improve has given me more faith in improvements from Moncada, and even in the rebuild as a whole. Yoan is similar to Anderson in the sense that he's young, uber talented, and sometimes frustrating to watch. But seeing Anderson slowly but surely put his main concerns to rest with time has made me feel a lot better about Moncada doing the same, perhaps to an even greater extent.
  8. Wasn't able to watch this game but glad that Giolito did well and Anderson finally got a little luck to go his way with the way he's been killing the ball this year. Anyone know why our wise manager went with Volstad with the bases loaded in the 8th rather than... literally any other reliever?
  9. In his 6 ABs today, Moncada has hit the ball hard 6 times and struck out 0 times.
  10. And what if Madrigal is worse than Anderson/Moncada?
  11. Eduardo Escobar? Yolmer Sanchez? Gio Gonzalez?
  12. Is that the scorer's name? Is it possible to contact him like you can for NBA scoring?
  13. I'll agree on Yoan but Tim has been really unlucky at the plate with good defense this year overall
  14. I thought it should've been ruled a hit. Really tough play to make
  15. Another good AB for Moncada. 104 MPH EV
  16. Good to see Yoan swing at a first pitch fastball. Hit it well too but right at the CF
  17. Tim is so unlucky... consistently hitting balls 390+ feet and 97+ MPH but getting caught for outs this month
