  1. Just some thoughts I had from reading 1. I'd be willing to bet that Zavala gets promoted to AAA 2. Dedelow deserves a promotion but with the logjam might not get one 3. Eddy Alvarez, albeit at 28 years old, is having a great year for Charlotte and it would be cool to see him in the majors in September given his background
  2. Henzman and McClure (once healthy next year) are more then ready for promotions.
  3. Excited for Luis Robert to hit his first bomb today
  4. Yeah, I'm not saying that he hasn't had a bad stretch. It's just that highlighting seemingly crazy variations in OPS isn't as damning as it may seem due to the erratic nature of the stat.
  5. I like OPS but I feel like you use it too often, or misuse it at times. It's a stat that, at this point in the season, is very heavily skewed by an event such as one home run. Therefore, if someone hits a home run and then doesn't hit another one for awhile, it's obvious that his OPS is gonna drop. It's a good stat to use at the end of seasons or with a lot of sample size, but judging a player based on fluctuations in the stat at this point in the season may not be taking advantage of its intended purpose.
  6. My guess is they were balls half of the time. I don't think I've ever seen a prospect with such a good grasp of the strike zone
  7. The White Sox would have to go 26-73 (.262) the rest of the way to finish with Greg's prediction of 48 wins.
  8. Great win, Anderson, Fry, and Lopez were incredible
  9. That's true. The issue is, the minute you put Palka in LF/RF, he becomes a net negative player.
  10. I'd love for him to get some more of the DH starts. That is, if Davidson continues to trend downwards
  11. Again, not what I said. All I said is that Tim is a good defender and shouldn't be moved. I never said anything bad about Moncada, who I expect to become a star
  12. I don't have a problem with the Bruins but I'll agree on the other 3. They're even worse than New York to me
  13. It never fails to amuse me how excited Boston fans get for weak flyouts. It's even worse than Wrigley
  14. It's not this error, it's that Tim is a good defensive SS and moving him wouldn't make much sense.
  15. IMO it's a lot more likely that Yoan moves off of second than Tim moves off of short.
  16. Seriously, how many times has Moncada been called out on a pitch with a "0-1% called strike" classification this month? Really annoying.
  17. I would be more intrigued if he weren't so old for his league. He is one of many who desperately needs a promotion.
  18. He's not on Kanny, he's pitching against them
  19. No, you missed Rodon drop a ball and Abreu somehow get charged with the error
