I think we should let him switch hit (and actually bat him leadoff against LHP to get him reps, and stop asking him to bunt against LHP to get him reps) for the rest of the season and for the first half next year. If he still looks this bad as a right handed hitter, I think that's when we should consider a switch. Perhaps even after the 2019 season.

It's crazy how much one game affects people's perceptions of a player. Just yesterday Moncada was on his way back and was a budding star. Now he's a bust and a lost cause less than 24 hours later.

Moncada and Anderson are so similar defensively. Elite range for their positions, dazzling plays from time to time, but sometimes messes up routine plays. If they both hit their defensive ceilings (which Anderson is already starting to do), we're gonna have the best defensive middle infield in baseball, and it won't even be close.

If this team was healthy for the first few months, with Kopech and Eloy being added in May (which I guess was never gonna happen), I truly think we'd be .500 or better right now. Avi/Leury/Rodon and even Nicky make such a big difference

For me, Hansen was at 8 rather than 4 because 1. I've always liked Cease better, and I thought Cease was great last year but was basically pitching without a defense behind him, causing him to have to pitch for strikeouts and preventing him from going deeper into games 2. Madrigal slotted above him but that's not Hansen "dropping", more just Madrigal being added 3. Just like with Cease, I've always loved Collins 4. I ranked Dunning higher just because there's a higher chance he'll be a solid MLB pitcher (lower ceiling than Hansen, but less risk). Maybe the injury did affect my ranking there. But of course now Dunning is injured too.
