  1. Please explain to me why Jeanmar Gomez, Thyago Vieria, or Ian Hamilton are less deserving of a bullpen spot than Minaya
  2. I agree. I'm still not a fan of the construction- batting Yolmer 2nd consistently and Anderson 6-8 makes little sense, for example, but at least there's no Trayce.
  3. Sliders low and away in the dirt, rinse and repeat. Not sure why he doesn't see more of them
  4. A month from now he'll be at .290/.350/.510. These fluctuations are completely normal for him and, in my opinion, are not indicative of any slowing down.
  5. Yup- 1 month of bad baseball (with a little bit of bad luck mixed in- his BABIP over his slump is .242) might change the mind of a message board poster, but a GM will value the past 5 years of production over that one month stretch.
  6. Some nice bases loaded ABs from Anderson, Abreu, and Yolmer of course
  7. Trading 6 years of someone who seems like he can be a dominant reliever doesn't seem like the best move for us. If he were older then I'd be down, but he has so much control left. I'd need a massive return
  8. About ready for Jose's cold streak to end... he's pressing
  9. He does look worse from the right side, but I also believe he looks better than the numbers suggest. He's had some great contact from the right side this year that hasn't resulted in hits. I personally am not yet convinced that he'd be any better as a LH vs LHP. I'd want to give him until at least the 2019 ASB as a switch hitter, just to see what he can do with 250-300 PAs as a righty
  10. I strongly agree that 65 ABs is enough of a sample to give up on someone switch hitting
  11. He might as well be a pitcher. I swear I haven't seen an uglier swing
  12. Tilson would've singled.
  13. Glad the call didn't come back to bite us. Let's not GIDP, Engel
  14. The pessimist in me sees an Anderson K, Engel weak pop out, Moncada out somehow
  15. Let's get a grand slam, Tim
  16. Perhaps not, but I can see him at least being competent. I don't know who else in our system would be better suited (not including guys like Robert who are good enough to play other positions, or a meh prospect like Gillaspie)
  17. Sign me up for C- Collins/FA 1B- Jimenez 2B- Moncada/Madrigal SS- Anderson/Madrigal 3B- FA/Burger LF- Rutherford/Madrigal CF- Robert RF- Basabe/Adolfo DH- Adolfo/Jimenez/FA
  18. Luis Robert. 75% sarcasm
  19. I'm confident that Eloy can become that guy once our outfield gets crowded and he's the odd man out (in terms of defense)
  20. Is he their everyday color guy or just a guest for this game?
  21. For all we know it was a bad call. Minor league umps are pretty shaky
  22. Rutherford and Luis Gonzalez need to be playing every day. That Remillard guy doesn't need all this playing time.
