  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:11 PM) I see us moving Q for positional talent....Bregman clearly comes to mind. If they're not moving Bregman, I propose Q/Frazier for K. Tucker, P. Tucker, Martes, Fisher, Musgrove. Something like that.
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:10 PM) Bad bad trade Why
  3. Jon HeymanVerified account ‏@JonHeyman Eaton deal to Nats is indeed close. Was 6 WAR player last year BK tells me
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:58 PM) What does this mean? Byron Kerr ‏@masnKerr 3m3 minutes ago I'm hearing it's not straight up trade "multiple players" for Eaton says source https://twitter.com/masnKerr That we're getting more than one player back. Which should be obvious, given Adam's value.
  5. I was hoping for trading Q to Colorado for Murphy +. Murphy is quite the catching prospect.
  6. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:45 PM) Not sure why we continue to add pitching prospects when we need position players. And we have only added one in Moncada. This is too strange. This (Basabe too but still)
  7. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) Damn that sucks, loading up on pitching Which is what we're actually good at developing on our own.
  8. No Turner + No Robles = bad deal. Giolito and Lopez isn't enough for Eaton.
  9. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:38 PM) Is it done? Or did he just confirm they're in "serious talks" or whatever the phrase of the day is? No, confirms that we're in [insert phrase], not that it's done
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:31 PM) The thing about Turner is he is going to regress to the mean. He isn't a .342 hitter. He isn't a 25 home run guy. He's still valuable player, but .. Thank you. People are overreacting to short MLB stints from guys like Turner, and, on the other end of the spectrum, Moncada.
  11. Tapia is an outfield trade option now, too.
  12. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 10:20 AM) Wow what position is he expected to play? From what I understand, they have C- Murphy 1B- ? 2B- DJ SS- Story 3B- Arenado LF- Desmond/Parra/Dahl CF- Blackmon RF- Gonzalez Basically, Dahl is now freed up to be traded.
  13. whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD Multiple sources confirm: Quintana left early for a wedding. Carry on with your day
  14. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 10:13 AM) I would not be shocked if Rodon gets moved. There have been little hints about it in the past, even yesterday when RH was talking about Sale he said he has "others" that fit the description of front line pitchers that teams can plug into playoff rotations. I know that Rodon seems like the kind of asset you hang on to, but given his agent and his performance in the second half, I could see the Sox moving him to try to build a core at the lower levels. Kopech is likely two years away as is Hansen, Burdi would be too if they decide to make him a starter. If they get the right deal for him, I think Rodon could get moved soon as well. If we trade Rodon, I don't want teams to look at his numbers and be turned off. We all know he's a better pitcher than what the numbers show, so if we're gonna trade him (which I don't think we should), we might as well wait at least until 7/31/17 so that he can build up his value.

    Catcher

    I know he may not stick at catcher, but we do have the #2 C prospect in baseball.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 08:31 AM) I obviously used best case example, but the Astros botched a number of picks are in a much better place than before. Brady Aiken is gonna be a stud for Houston. Mark Appel too. Idiot!
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 08:30 AM) This is just nuts. This mentality by some Sox fans around here is just nuts. Sale is #1 in like 10 stats in AL pitchers over the last 5 years. Jose Quintana is not, nor is he close. The Sox can get a couple of very solid prospects for him, but nothing like that. He is close, in fact. I don't know what stats you're looking at. Another thing to consider with Quintana is the extra year of control he has over Sale.
  18. Scott Griffin ‏@griffsz 8m8 minutes ago Alabama, USA .@BhamBarons GM Jonathan Nelson at baseball winter meetings: Rumblings of Todd Frazier being dealt @whitesox not done yet @991TheGame
  19. Quintana and Frazier (either as 1B or 3B) for Martes, K. Tucker, P. Tucker, Reed, and Fisher. Who says no?
