  1. Maybe stop peddling this stuff if it's been made clear to you that you don't know what you're talking about? (Bauer, not Huff)
  2. Yup, the bottom line is we need our starters to get to the 5th, even the 4th, inning more often than not
  3. Shhh, don't tell him that, it has been fairly conspiracy-free lately
  4. And if Madrigal truly turns out to be the on-base menace that many think he will be, having him at #9 to turn it over to those three sluggers will be an awesome configuration.
  5. Meh, tell him to worry about catching up to Robert in fWAR ?
  6. Not to mention, Woodruff is a #1/ace, so saying he's a better matchup than a soft-tossing lefty because of a very SSS might not be accurate
  7. Fangraphs made their first ratings update today. Robert is #2 in WAR behind Yastrzemski (and tied for 2nd with Judge). 2nd best defensive CF behind Kiermaier
  8. I turned on the Yankees/Red Sox game for 30 seconds and heard the announcer refer to Gio Urshela as "the best third baseman in the American League right now". I'm sorry, Urshela is a nice player, but I would take (no order) Bregman, Chapman, Rendon, Donaldson, Moncada, Ramirez, and Devers over him. That's half of the American League's third basemen. I guess this is a roundabout way of saying that, despite all this amazing young talent we have, a very brief stroll over to national baseball talking heads is a funny reminder that nobody else will care unless they get traded to [insert big market team here]
  9. Wow, Grandal's numbers are starting to look respectable. Who could've seen that coming??
  10. Royals hit balls that inning with hit probabilities of 75%, 90%, and 79% and still went down in order
  11. LHP starting against us tomorrow, but either way I doubt Delmonico plays again for us barring a Mazara/Eloy injury
  12. And he's walking 15% of the time this year. Really encouraged by his season actually
  13. The difference, though, is that Moncada already is a top 15 position player in the game. It's not potential with him, it's right now
  14. Not trying to be overdramatic but the scouting reports (which were already very positive) were very wrong about Robert in many, many ways. He has very few flaws as a baseball player, and he is already reducing them (such as his swing-and-miss) in-season. The key is just health
  15. Is he new? The one last year was awful during the TA stuff
  16. Awesome tweet from an even better tweeter!
  17. IMO, evaluators have been way too low on Robert's defense/speed and way too dismissive of Franco's defensive concerns. Robert is a better prospect Edit: I've been saying this since last year, not just from this brief Robert sample
