That Cleveland 5-9 is rough... guess they're stacking their RH power bats for tonight

MLB COVID-19 outbreaks: None of as Sept 18
What bothers me most is that they aren't changing any protocols. The "everything will be fine" approach is gonna backfire when the next outbreak happens on a contending team. It only took 3 days for the first one, who's to say we make it to next week before the next?

Kopech sitting out 2020 - files for divorce
Kopech was the third-most talented player involved in that trade, IMO

This thread has definitely been much more mature than Twitter/social media, where such takes are abundant

Yikes. The (seemingly majority) view that the positive results are completely the players' faults for whatever they do outside of the stadium is pretty rough. You can follow all the protocols 100% perfectly and still get the virus

All jokes aside, and as bad as his season numbers will look now, I bet it actually meant a lot to him. Just in the nick of time too

7/26 GT - Twins at Sox - 1:10pm
I know I'm in the minority but I like that they went with Lopez today. He might get hit around, but he at least (typically) throws strikes and attacks hitters. With Cease, I'd be afraid that he misses the zone, gets behind in counts, and then gets taken deep by all the power bats. Neither are ideal but I just don't think Cease matches up well against a team that works counts like this

Moncada should be the DH but I don’t really care about the day off. I’m more upset that Abreu is starting over Collins against a guy who destroys RHH but is susceptible to walks against LHH

Likewise but he actually looks a lot better than he did last year (even though he was adequate), at least to me. Off-speed has better movement than I remember

Looks so much more advanced. He's gonna have a .900+ OPS season

I thought this was funny given the small but vocal group here who thinks that Abreu holds a gun to Renteria's head and forces him to pencil him in at #3 and 1B every game
