Despite the team being competitive, the game threads are somehow even worse (more negative). And I'm not talking about the Eloy reactions, that's all warranted
This is fine, but why does it make you incapable of complimenting Robert/Moncada/Jimenez without bringing up Tatis/Semien? We all are well aware that those players used to be in the White Sox organization and were traded. On the other hand, the Sox are a likely playoff team with a talented young core that is good enough to be complimented without constant invocations of players who aren't on the team.
Every time I watch him this year, he's ranting about analytics, complaining about power hitters who don't have speed, and endlessly praising Abreu (which I figure you'd hate). Not sure why this sentiment exists
Random observation but it's awesome how lively Soxtalk has been this season. I went 4-5 hours between visiting the site and nearly the entire Pale Hose Talk section featured threads with unread posts/pages. Not to mention, game threads get more than 5-6 replies before first pitch. I don't recall it being this energetic since 2016 (aside from the first few days of every season)
If it's a brief IL stint (should he even need one), I'd be fine with a Collins/McCann mix. Would help to make sure Grandal gets more reps at the plate (as DH/1B), too
I know his long-term projection at this point is basically a switch-hitting version of Adam Engel, but once again, DFAing him over Delmonico is puzzling at best
From May: Rumor: White Sox may pursue Marcus Stroman in free agency
We liked him when he was drafted IIRC and have tried to trade for him in the past. A lot less important but he also liked my tweet a few months ago in which I said I would love for him to be on the Sox next year
Might as well overpay for 2 months of Stroman (if he's nearing a return) since we've done such a bad job of hiding our interest in him during the upcoming FA period
