  1. Should find out this week what's going to happen with avi. Non tender deadline is Nov. 30
  2. Ya, he was having trouble getting the ball to 1st. Really glad we didn't throw that kinda money at him.
  3. "6. The White Sox and Padres are ready to pounce. One rule of the Hot Stove: Pay close attention to teams emerging from lengthy rebuilding efforts. The White Sox are the American League's answer to the Phillies. While their roster isn't as strong (yet) as that of Philadelphia, they play in a winnable division and could compete in the next couple seasons if they land Harper, Machado, Corbin or lefty Dallas Keuchel. If the Indians trade Corey Kluber or Carlos Carrasco -- and industry opinion remains divided as to whether they actually will -- White Sox GM Rick Hahn has even more incentive to make bold moves."
  4. "4. Corbin is the top pitcher available. He probably won't sign first. Every year, industry observers wonder if the No. 1 free-agent starter will set the market's upper boundary by signing early. That's not likely to happen with Corbin this autumn. Two teams with significant capacity to add payroll -- the Phillies and White Sox -- have interest in Corbin. But they're also involved in the Harper and Machado pursuits, meaning they may wait for the superstar position players to go off the board before determining exactly how much they can spend on Corbin. Meanwhile, the markets for Nathan Eovaldi and J.A. Happ are developing more rapidly. The Yankees, Blue Jays, Angels, Brewers, Phillies and Astros are among the teams known to have interest in Happ, sources say."
  5. If they are going to trade a bunch of players. The sox better get on getting some player. Would have a shot at division
  6. Yes me being here since 2013 is being new. I know they usually write in green letters for sarcasm.
  7. I thought that if the letters were green was sarcasm
  8. Would you give up Cease plus for 2 yrs of paxton or wait till cease is up this next year
  9. Yet how many world championships do they have since Billy beane has been going this so called running the baseball team the correct way lol. Boston spent and won a world series. You can not totally win in baseball without spending some chunks of money
  10. So by your estimation, the sox should go only bargain bin diving and not spending on good players. Ok then lol
  11. How are they poor allocation of financial resources. Sox have a ton of money to spend and less on the books going into the future. Spending money on star players that come along few and far between that are also young is not poor allocation of financial resources. You lock up a roster spot for the foreseeable future. Who's the realistic options. Donaldson who's oft injured and older. Mccutchen or Adam Jones who are getting older and declining.
  12. Honest I would wait and see what he does this next season but if Goldsmchidt a free agent I would lean more towards him. Goldy just gets on base at a much higher clip the abreu.
