I chalk this up to a lack of something interesting to write about so something had to be created. I really don't think there's any reason to move TA from SS and I actually like him there. He's fine right where he is. However. In the spirit of a good old fashioned Gregg inspired conspiracy theory I'll indulge. We all know the CF production has been bad so maybe the idea is to put TA in CF to bolster the CF production and give more playing time to Rondon at SS to see what his bat has to offer on a daily basis. I really don't think this has anything to do with madrigal since 1) we're not sure he'll be drafted by the Sox and 2) will take a year or two before he's ready.

As long as Jones stays healthy ( big if) there will be plenty of interested teams. I think Jones will be wearing a different uniform by the deadline. Well, that's assuming the Sox front office gets trade approval from the Gregg beforehand.

Couldn't agree more. IMHO Giolito is in the same boat as Fulmer. Neither are able to consistently find home plate and have been taxing on the pen. It can't be easy on the defense sitting out there on the field watching them try to find home plate pitch after pitch. The summer heat is here and those long innings will tax the defense as well. I haven't given up on them but they clearly have to work on commanding their pitches. Fulmer was sent down for the same things Giolito is struggling with so I expect Giolito to go down when Rodon is ready.

You guys are right, there is a bit of a log jam. Roman and Yrizarri are holding their own at WS and you're right about Rivera needing to get promoted. I stand corrected.
