No doubt he has great stuff with movement, just doesn't command it well. I really like his cutter when it's on, like the game in Toronto earlier in the season. I was thinking they would keep him in the pen to continue working with Cooper. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against sending Fulmer down to continue to work as a starter.

I'll guess Covey gets the call. I was thinking the Sox would put Fulmer in the pen so I'm a little surprised he was optioned to Charlotte.

LF defense has been brutal this year between Nicky and Leury. I'm about ready to jump on the call Eloy up train. I know Eloy isn't known for his defense but he has to be better than Nicky.

Yep. That's what I was saying in the Eloy thread. If Kopech improves his control and Eloy shows he can hit AAA then bring them up. But at this point, they are young enough to leave down in the minors this year if need be.

At least they discovered the source of the problem. Hope Eaton has a speedy recovery to get back to playing ball.
