Yeah, that's what I was saying earlier. Piscotty was already behind Tavaras, and now they just added 2 more OFs. The minor league OF they got from the Angels was the #4 prospect in LAA, but I'm not sure how he would stack up in the Cardinals mind to Piscotty. But I'm think our chances of them giving us Piscotty should go up considerably after this move. And then they also have OF James Ramsey, their 2012 1st RD pick who will be in either AA or AAA this season. They have a plethora of young OFers.
According to the prospect rankings on mlb.com for the Cardinals, he's just outside the top 10 at number 11. Piscotty is 7. Grichuk just turned 22 in August.
In 500 at-bats last year, Grichuk hit .256, OBP of .306, slugged at .474, and hit 22 HR, 27 doubles and 8 triples. Struck out 92 times.
