You can never have enough pitching.
-
wasn't too hard to see this coming. Giolito turned a corner in Charlotte about two months ago, he'll probably have a few clunkers here and there but he has as much shutdown potential on a game-by-game basis as anyone. If he finds some of his lost velocity look out.

Kopech's heater no doubt.

He might be a top 10 overall prospect right now. They found the guy they've been waiting decades to get in Intl FA and immediately traded him for James Shields. Honestly, its got a solid chance of going down as a worse trade than the Shelby Miller deal. -

Fernando Tatis Jr went 4/5 last night. He's in AA as an 18 year old, in case you forgot. -
Not a whole lot available in FA this offseason at the corner OF spots. Avi has more value than you guys are letting on. If all they're gonna get is another Cordell/Gillaspie type then forget about it, I'd rather keep him. But for a top 75 tier prospect it makes a lot sense. We'll see.

Do people really still believe that every play not resulting in a HR, walk or strikeout is dumb luck? Yikes. I also wouldn't call it unheard of for a player to struggle their first few seasons then improve. I think they should trade him too, but not for those reasons. I think he's definitely turned some sort of corner at the plate.

The Bears are in the wrong era with that roster. Jesus. 5 TE, 4 RB. And a full back!

What adjustments does moncada need to make?

Get on base for Abreu and Eloy. -
I think Giolito is by far the most underrated Sox prospect by posters on this site. I expect Giolito to be as good or better than Rodon. Lots of people caught up in meaningless numbers from earlier this year when Giolito was relearning mechanics.

Dude, read the link. He does not ask for prayers instead, he just declines the help (which they dont need or probably even want to deal with) and then says pray for us. I'm anything but a southerner, but even I know what "pray for us" means among those people. Its a throwaway line, like "wish me luck". You must be extremely dense to not understand what that's about. Read the source link.

Reed is not going to get a big contract.

From all the way in Quebec? Probably not. If this disaster struck Haiti it would make more sense, but Texas alone has a larger GDP than all of Canada. They have cots. They have blankets. Asking for prayers is not some delusional Texas politician valuing the will of Jesus over actual relief, he's just trying to politely say they do not require the type of assistance being offered by Quebec.
-
I don't think they need blankets and beds. Hydro crews is also a weird thing to send. I mean it's the United States of America, a fully developed post-industrial country. If they want blankets in Houston they don't have to go very far, same goes for cots.

I agree, makes a ton of sense. Bringing back Swarzak too.
-
If I ever care about Ti'quan Forbes again I will be quite surprised. The bigger upside to this trade is it makes them even worse the last month+ of the season.
-
Franklin Perez, Daz Cameron and Jake Rogers the return.
-
So apparently the NFL's lead investigator recommended they not suspend Elliott. She was ignored by the NFL and they suspended him. I want to blame the NFL, but they aren't really at fault here.
-
My bet is whoever they have closing will be at least decent at it. No worse than Robertson.
-
They really did not want Trubisky doing much tonight.
-
Burdi probably won't pitch in 2018, if he does it won't be in the majors. I think he's the long term option there though. They'll sign a stopgap FA to fill the role and have an open competition for the spot in camp.

For as much as I want them to win next year, I'm getting sick of them sabotaging draft position like this. It's a lost season. -
Angels are probably praying he opts out.

This Otani s*** is going to be crazy.
