Season not even half over so I hate to jinx things but in this day and age I never thought I would see a team as bad as the 2024 White Sox but here we are a year later and the Rockies are reaching new levels of suckage.

Ryne Sandberg was hitless in his first 41 at bats in his official rookie year with the Cubs. He was 1 for 6 the year before in a September call up.

So you are saying that maybe 100,000 or more tickets were discounted then JR didn’t have to pay rent, very interesting.

I really thought that after that last game with the Mets that they were going to go on a bit of a roll. Again I was duped.

Ozzie just said to expect changes tomorrow. It’s too early to start thinking about a manager change but I’d like to see some emotion out of the guy and some of the players, I’d like to see Robert to maybe kick the water cooler or break a bat over the knee after another strike out like Bo Jackson, of course knowing Robert he’d probably hit his knee cap and go on the IL for 8 weeks.

We’ve had quite a few winnable games with damn good pitching but the offense is just pathetic.

You can’t fault the 2 vets, Tauchman and Benintendi have been doing their jobs, too bad it hasn’t rubbed off on some of these other mopes.

Anyone else notice Robert standing closer to the plate on his first AB. I brought that up on another post that he should try that.

So far Houser isn’t fooling anyone, nice play by Palacios keeping the hitter at first.

I’d like to keep him around, does everything right and could help out the youngsters, only wish he could help out Robert and Vaughn.

No doubt, it was JR’s worst move in a list of many many during his pathetic ownership.

Official attendance at Baseball Reference has it at 2,009,000 so maybe all that was considered. BTW I consider Baseball Reference the best baseball site on the internet.

How about a stint down in Charlotte for Robert, maybe it will be a wake up call.

Vaughn with 3 hits last night, up to .280 BA. and .831 OPS. Of course things change fast when you have a small number of plate appearances, if he has a lousy game today he will be back near the Mendoza line with a lousy OPS, if he has a great game he will be over .300 and an OPS over 1.000. Give him at least another week.

Robert is unfixable.

Bring back Baldwin.

Sosa has no concept of the strike zone.

Even Vaughn would be better, he could still drive in a run once in awhile.
