  1. Jacob Burke has a promising set of tools and seems like a charismatic kid. Should be a fun follow.
  2. Agree to disagree. He is a three pitch pitcher. If you stretched him out to say 90 innings this year, he could start next year. If you want to use him on back to back days, yeah, he'll never be a starter and their entire 2020 will be a complete waste.
  3. I was hoping to make Crochet the opener, but they are going to use him as a set up man and doom his chances of ever starting. What a short-sighted organization this is.
  4. Guardians get swept. Verlander was not vintage, but that line up is pretty bad. Ramirez hit an absolute moonshot, otherwise it was a lot of 68 exit velo. Sox are two games behind them now.
  5. Tampa is 20 games over .500 and they are up by only 2.5 games. In the Central their magic number would be like 5.
  6. Alberto day to day with left shoulder soreness. IL? Let it ride and make Burger/Moncada your emergency 2b?
  7. Frazier has looked good both at bats. Robbed of a hit the first time up.
  8. Lynn gave up a lot of hard hit balls, but ultimately 5 innings, 2 runs, is not bad.
  9. Winston Salem is getting beat again by Aberdeen. Holliday 2-2, up to .405. Geez, that kid is gonna be good.
  10. Hernandez should only go an inning or two today, but he always looks like Max Scherzer against us, so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes 5 innings, 75 pitches.
  11. Right wrist inflammation aka Reese McGuire Syndrome.
  12. Ugh. The lack of depth in that area is brutal. They would never do it, but if anyone goes down, I'd make Crochet an opener to try to up his innings for next year .
  13. Whether Frazier is good in right or not is beside the point. He is here cuz they think maybe they caught lightning in a bottle with the bat. The real question is “How’s his defense at second?”
  14. What part is scouting and what part is development, though? Dodgers and Rays know how to teach people. The Sox have been less good at that.
