LaRussa retiring on Monday
Holy ****! We know the Sox are the dumbest org in sports, but this is a new low. I would say the odds of TLR wanting to prove the doubters wrong and go out on a high note are about 50/50. If he were looking out for his health, he wouldn’t have taken the job in the first place.

The International Signing Thread
Traditionally, the Sox have not been willing to pay top dollar for 16 year olds nor have they been willing to engage in the sort of dirty tricks/exploitation for which the DR in particular has become famous.

Hahn the Dumbass Again
I know I'm just adding to the problem, but does this really require its own thread?

9/26 Game
Colas looks as ready as you can be. The fact that he and Robert are close friends should help him acclimate to the team. Unlike Sosa, he seems to start hot at every new level. Hopefully that continues in the majors.

9/25 Games
Jacksonville put up a snowman in the second inning off Parke. Nice to see Stiever back on the hill.

TLR out for the year
That might be worse. See what he did in Arizona.

Looks like we are inline for the 16th pick or so for the 2023 MLB draft.
He checks all of Shirley's boxes: He's from Indiana and... the rest is meaningless.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Most depressing thread ever. $9 mil for Joe Kelly?! There are no easy fixes. They really don’t have the payroll flex to get an impact bat, and we’ve all seen how bad they are at shopping in the middle of the market. I would keep Eloy, pray for a healthy Robert, make Colas the RF, trade Pollock while eating money. Moncada seems to be immovable. I want to blow this up, so I am willing to trade Vaughn, TA, Hendricks, Giolito, Lynn. Obviously, guys like Sheets, Burger, etc won’t get you much, but I am open for business. I think this is a 2 to 3 year project to get this team back on track.

Where these players should start the season in 2023
A few things: No way they're signing Carlos although surrendering a 1st rd pick to sign a guy they refused to give a QO to would be vintage Sox. Oscar Colas gets a full year at AAA in his 24 year-old season? Um, no. Personally, I'm not so sure they keep Mendick. He turns 29 in like a week. But otherwise, I agree with most of it. Well thought out.

White Sox Arizona Fall League roster
Wow. This list is a who's who of "who do I not care about following in the Fall league?"

TLR out for the year
Strong disagreement here. Leadership matters. Especially when you have to grind through a tough slog. I think that applies in any team-oriented job.

Colas HR was a moonshot. Over the scoreboard.- 9/13 Games
Colas and Veras also homered.- 9/8 White Sox @ Athletics 8:40 CT
The way things are going, Eloy still has a chance to lead the team in HRs.- Rule changes voted in Friday...
Banning the shift is ridiculous. It's going to look like the era of all those illegal defense calls in the NBA. If Tampa wants to stick 7 guys in right field, that's their right.- 9/8 Games
- TLR out for the year
I'm not sure it's that easy. I am in a very pressure-filled business. When I let that pressure get to me and transmit it to my team, it hurts everyone's performance. People get tight. When I stay relaxed and confident, the team performs better. If TLR is gripping it because he wants to win so badly and that translates to the players, I think people will play tighter and it will make them worse. But, then again, I'm not in sports, so maybe it's different.- 9/5 Sox @ Mariners GT, 5:40PM CT, NBCSC
- Upcoming roster decisions
He is a FA in a month. DFA at this point costs you nothing. Sox have like 15 guys on the 40 man who are either FAs at the end of the year (Cueto, VV, Abreu, Andrus, Harrison) or easy DFAs (Aybar, Bilous, Crick, Tobias Myers, Severino, Haseley, Payton, I would also consider Mendick, and Stiever). There is not much of a roster crunch currently or in the foreseeable future.- Fire Cairo?
I would at least interview outside candidates. Hahn said that he was going to do that last time, in part, to get ideas about how other orgs do things. It’s sort of like free industrial espionage. Interview people from orgs like Tampa, LA, Houston, Baltimore, etc. Maybe they’ll get some new ideas. Currently, they are a stagnant pool of how baseball teams operated in the late 90s.- 9/4 Games
Huge offensive day at Birmingham. Colas 3-6 HR 3 rbi. Mieses also 3-6 with a HR. Veras had a HR too. In Charlotte Sosa 2-4 with a double. The NP line up at WS is facing a perfect game.- Heads Up: Site is all upgraded and we are back
