  1. Yeah. Seems like a nice kid, but I would be shocked if he made it through the whole season.
  2. They're going to embarrass themselves whether you want them to or not, so might as well enjoy the ride.
  3. Okay, figuring Keller and Clevinger get the first cracks at the rotation, how many of thes top ten get a shot at some point? Flexen and Soroka look like short-timers and they don't have a 5th starter. I am going to say that Nastrini, Thorpe, Eder, and Cannon all get at least 1 mlb start this season.
  4. Sosa has a lot of great plays made on him in right center.
  5. God, Benintendi is bad. That ball has to be caught.
  6. I have Eder ahead of Iriarte. I think they are both 50 FV, but Eder has both a higher upside and more track record.
  7. I think you have the right 10 guys on the list. Thank you for it. I'm higher on Eder, MacDougal, and Taylor than maybe you are, but I think these guys are clearly ahead of Gordon and Batista for now. That may change in Batista's case as he's looked really good so far since the Sox acquired him.
  8. Jacob Gonzalez tried a drag bunt his first AB. Odd strategy for a guy that slow to first.
  9. Post deadline? They're plenty bad now. They might get better as they get rid of these guys.
  10. Jesse Rogers is a Cubs guy. He may be right but... ignore.
  11. Quero barely missed an oppo grand slam. Sac fly. He has 5 rbi.
  12. Thorpe might be done 6IP 4H 1R 1ER 1bb 7K. Basically one ball hit hard, a long fly out to center.
  13. Thorpe throwing well. He has not been lucky on batted balls, so he's given up 4 singles. Mostly not hit hard. That change up is not something AA hitters can handle.
  14. I think the Flexen DFA watch has begun. A ton of guys in the minors are better than him plus Clevinger and Keller.
  15. HR Quero oppo-left center.
  16. Baldwin just deeked a guy that a ball had gone into center and caught him off second. Love that guy.
  17. At Charlotte he has clearly been the better of the two. He’s also a better defender and has experience in the outfield.
  18. Remillard wasn’t even hitting in Charlotte. This may be the least talented Sox roster in my lifetime. A lifetime that has seen a lot of bad baseball. Happy to see Shaw go, though.
  19. Is Curiel possible above slot in the second round?
  20. Don't forget Ian Hamilton. He was a prospect for the Sox but had a lot of bad luck. Now he's a very useful player for the Yankees.
  21. Because I have a problem, I just went over the Sox 2019 draft. I don't know if it is scouting or player development, but take a look at this disaster: 1. Andrew Vaughn 1b 2. Matthew Thompson rhp 3. Andrew Dalquist rhp 4. James Beard of 5. Dan Metzdorf rhp 6. Avery Weems lhp 7. Karan Patel rhp 8. Ivan Gonzalez, c 9 Nate Pawecyzk rhp 11. Victor Torres, c 12. Misael Gonzalez of 13. Cooper Bradford rhp 14. McKinley Moore rhp 15. Caleb Freeman rhp 16. DJ Gladney of/1b 17. Jeremiah Burke rhp 18. Sammy Peralta lhp 19. Joshua Rivera rhp 20. Cameron Simmons, of 21. Chase Solesky rhp 22. Logan Glass of 23. Paul Milito, rhp 24 Jakob Goldfarb c 25. Hansen Butler rhp 26. Justin Freeman rhp 27. Tyler Osik c 28. Caeden Trenkle of 29. Kaleb Roper rhp 30. Daniel Millwee c. The "successes" of the group are Vaughn, a below-league-average 1b, Thompson cuz you were able to trade him for a AAA reliever, Avery Weems cuz you were able to trade him as a throw in for Lance Lynn, McKinley Moore cuz you were able to trade him for since-released Adam Haseley, Caleb Freeman because he's still a fringe reliever prospect, DJ Gladney because he's a fringe corner prospect, Peralta because he pitched in the majors before getting DFA, Chase Solesky because he's been a decent org innings eater, and Daniel Millwee because he's a well-regarded minor league coach. That is not much. 2021, 2022, and 2023 look much better so there's hope for better days ahead. But you can't say the Sox are league average in either drafting or development.
  22. Baldwin with a long oppo double. He really is an impressive player.
