  1. Top 6 seem to be Condon, Bazzana, Caglianone, Burns, Smith, Montgomery, and probably Wetherholt if he stays healthy the rest of the way. Sox are going to get a good player. I wonder how they feel about the power guys. Personally I am Montgomery >Caglianone because you know he plays a quality rf. I am okay kinda with whoever falls to them.
  2. He's not a high-ceiling guy, so I imagine he only becomes top 30 if he dominates in A+ or above.
  3. It would just bounce off him for a HR.
  4. Q: How many 35 year-old players does it take to finish last? White Sox: We don't know, but we're doing everything we can to find out.
  5. Barons win 5-2. Unearned run after they mess up a pop up. Gil Luna's stuff is impressive. He has trouble ending at bats once he gets ahead.
  6. This season went into the toilet F.A.S..T.
  7. Coffey is basically a slider-heavy guy, but you could imagine him being part of the bullpen rotation in the next year or so. They're going to audition 500 guys. I could imagine him being one of them.
  8. Elko is really good defensively at 1st. He's made a bunch of slick plays tonight. If he could hit sliders, he'd be quite a prospect.
  9. Quero HR on his 21st b-day.
  10. He was throwing a little harder than that early. Long innings wore him down. He was 93 at the end, though.
  11. Kelley still can't throw strikes.
  12. Iriarte getting squeezed in this game. Hard to tell much. 4 scoreless but a lot of traffic. Would have been better if strikes were called consistently.
  13. Iriarte looks okay, but he's giving up some hard contact. He's got a good arm. The slider is probably his best pitch tonight. Leaving too many pitches over the heart of the plate. But, so far, 2 scoreless.
  14. The Kanny line up is just like the Sox -- 2 games, 1 run. 0-10 w/RISP today. May feature 1 player who makes it to AA? 2, maybe?
  15. Iriarte bears a passing resemblance to Christian Mena. So far more control than command.
  16. 54 pitches seems a little light to me. Hopefully they can get him up to 80 pitches in a couple of starts.
  17. He dominated at Texas. Hard to know what the Sox have with him until A+ or even AA. I believe he will toy with A ball hitters.
  18. 10K for Schultz through 4.
  19. Struck out the side in the 3rd. 8Ks in 3IP for Schultz.
  20. Bring him up, put him in the bullpen, then convert him to a starter in year 4!
  21. This team is so bad, I'm not sure there's even a table.
  22. The way Maldonado has looked, your starting catcher in July may be Chuckie Robinson.
  23. I do not envy Getz. He inherited the worst situation I can remember for any team I follow. The whole org including 97% of the players needs to be scraped off the Earth and something new built in its place. I love Popeye's athleticism and energy, but I watched him play a lot last year. If you think Sosa and Colas don't control the zone, they're Frank Thomas compared to Rodriguez. I get that they just didn't believe in him. Rightly of wrongly. They also didn't believe in Mena. Possibly wrongly. There is such little talent, majors or minors, that the F.O. is going to have to do a lot of crazy things just to field a Washington Generals team for the rest of the league to beat up on. Fact is, we're not even in year zero yet. This is year -1 where we lose 110 games and pick 11th while some team that lost 92 games picks Ethan Holliday. All these vets are for Grifol. I think they're hoping to save his job. Good luck with that. Hopefully, they fire him, then hire someone who will play and develop some of their younger guys, and get competitive around 2028? Until then, we just have to enjoy the absolute suckitude.
