  1. I'm more looking forward to '13 or '14. 2012 White Sox: 67-95 AT BEST...
  2. These pitchers are being taken out with like only 80 or so pitches and no one really getting rocked.... it's the weirdest thing I've seen
  3. So... worst starters ever or best bullpens ever this postseason? This is unlike anything I've seen in the MLB postseason. Seems like forever ago that the Sox ALCS had all the CG's
  4. You're telling me Erubiel Durazo isn't a household name?!
  5. Checking back in.... and, yep, this still happened. Ugh.
  6. This coaching staff "search" is getting so far out of hand it's almost funny at this point... I can't wait to see what player movement will be like come December. I have a feeling there will be some multiple meltdown threads at some horrible trades.
  7. Okay is it just me, or does it seem like no starters have gone more than 5 innings Most of the playoffs this year? And not even getting rocked, just leaving the game barely even qualifying for a win...
  8. They didn't interview ANYONE, and only about 1/2 interviewed Robin from the sounds of it... Way to do your due diligence. Very professional. I will go on record a week after the hiring that I have no problem with Robin as a person, but there were better candidates and the White Sox didn't even kick on the tires on any of them. It's a slap in the face to the fans. It's like "Hey, idiot, remember Robin Ventura, well guess what he's the new manager deal with it." It's quite insulting.
  9. Verlander's 2011 Post-season ERA 5.31. Ironically he gave up 8 earned runs in the 2 games he WON.
  10. Once again, only ONE AL Central team has gone all the way in 16 seasons
  11. That sour look on Dombrowski's face was absolutely priceless
  12. I thought the Rays had a way better shot of competing as far as the Wild Card teams went this year... Oops.
  13. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 14, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) http://www.sportsinmovies.com/ Haha I have not seen ANY of the ones in the Top 10. Also, it's weird to see any list where The Big Lebowski is in 81st place...
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 14, 2011 -> 04:09 PM) That's not always the best way to go especially when your pitcher has never done it before. It's really nothing to blame Leyland or Verlander for. I'm just grasping at straws cause I hate the Tigers mostly haha
  15. Well I only got 10 either way haha... I'll have to pass on this list
  16. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 14, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) My list is going to be terrible. I'm just starting to realize how many classic sports movies I've never seen. Same here. I've also noticed of the ones I have seen, only a few would I actually rank. Most of the ones I'm my list I'm very "meh" about as movies in general.
  17. Are we talking about movies that are ABOUT Sports, or movies that just revolve around sports in some way? For example: The Big Lebowski isn't about bowling, but there's a lot of it in the movie. While, Kingpin is ALL about bowling. It's at the center of the narrative.
  18. Isn't it just assumed that your ace should go 1-4-7* in any 7 game series to give you the best chance to win? All the pundits out there were saying it'd be tough to beat the Tigers with Verlander starting 3 games in a 7 game series etc.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 14, 2011 -> 08:15 AM) This media slurping of Verlander's game last night is making me sick. The guy gave up four runs. His postseason ERA is 5.33. I don't care how many pitches he threw, if C.J. Wilson didn't suck it up, the Tigers season would be over. It was a gutsy start by him which their bullpen needed, but it still wasn't some all-time epic performance. A Cy Young winner should do much better with his team's season on the line. A Cy Young winner should also start 3 times in a 7 game series, but that aint happening because of Verlander's precious "routine". I can not believe there's not more criticism of that written this post season.
  20. 133 pitches for Verlander even when they were up by 5... Not that he would have but that all but eliminates Verlander from a Game 7 appearance.
  21. So what's Verlnader's post season ERA like 6 or so right now?
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 08:56 PM) Cabrera looked slower than Paul Konerko If Cabrera wasn't trying to eat himself out of the game he might have had a chance. But Napoli literally had enough time to take a nap waiting for fatty to get home...
