  1. I said it in the AL Central catch all, but I think there is every chance in the world if a game one match-up is Verlander vs. Lester/Sabathia that the Tigers lose 2-1 or 3-2 and then they're f***ed. IF the White Sox offense can score 4 earned against Verlander TWICE in a season, the Red Sox or Yankees could too...
  2. The thing that makes me laugh about everyone b****ing about ex-prospects, is that there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO guarantee that said prospect would ever develop under the White Sox the same way they are on other teams, and vice versa on guys traded to the Sox. Sometimes it's a scenery thing. Having different coaches telling you different things. Different ballparks. Hell Different weather.... You never know with ballplayers.
  3. Walk-off 3-run bomb for Choo.... of course... Can't wait for the Indians to lose 90 next season...
  4. It's gonna be funny when the Red Sox/Yankees beat Verlander 2-1 in a Game One...
  5. I remember Hawk talking him up that he was gonna be a big power threat is he got 500 AB's haha
  6. He's got like 16 or so games to hit 7 more home runs and get to 30... Even with the strike outs and low average 30 bombs from a 20 year old is impressive...
  7. Same s*** happened to Gavin... Crusing for the first few innings looking untouchable then right in the tank and FAST...
  8. This is the same pitcher who had a 20 ERA coming into tonight against the Sox this season right? Just checking...
  9. So it's the second and the Sox only have 1 run off Carmona? Am I to assume he's got the sinker working today?
  10. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) I tip my cap to the Indians' clubhouse for this: That is a great story, but all I could concentrate on was his agents name: Joe Speed. How awesome is that? It's a total agent name.....
  11. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) Tonight, Cleveland falls to third place. Wouldn't they still be percentage points ahead even with a Sox win tonight?
  12. As long as someone beats the Red Sox that's all I care about haha
  13. Need 8 strong out of Mark and to beat the s*** out of Carmona like they've done all season up to now...
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 07:19 AM) Cole Hamels will miss a start with shoulder inflammation. Supposedly MRI shows no structural damage but you never like hearing about shoulder issues with pitchers. He better be okay... The Phillie pitching is gonna be the only thing that keeps us from an ANOTHER unbearable Red Sox Championship
  15. Shut the f*** UP Hawk... Jesus....
  16. Gavin seems to have a lot of trouble pitching with the lead...
  17. Hawk still can't say Choo's name right....
  18. Wow... Sean Burroughs is still in baseball...and plays for the D'Backs... Who knew?
  19. I randomly was looking at Ken Griffey Jr's wikipedia page today and was SHOCKED when I saw that he tied to kill himself by taking 227 aspirins when he was 18. I NEVER knew that. How long has that been common knowledge? I never once heard about that....
  20. That's one thing I alway have to remember when visiting Chicago the walk sign don't mean s*** haha. It's so weird that in California of all places the "pedestrians have the right of way ALWAYS" thing is just beaten into the driver's here. You know about it as a little kid crossing the street and as you you grow up and get that license you stop for the people in crosswalks. Some people are assholes and speed by, but it's never as blatant as I've seen in Chicago. For you residents, is there just no way of enforcing that? Or do the cops not care enough to pull people over? I know a couple Chicago cops, one retired one current and they both seem to shrug their shoulders about it and laugh, like, "just watch out".
  21. Holy Crap! Jason Marquis pitched on a broken leg for 13 pitches and an at-bat.... Ouch
  22. I just tuned in...seems like more of the same vs. Bruce MOTHERf***ING Chen? Lovely...
  23. QUOTE (MAX @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) Can you elaborate? I don't recall hearing about that. The guy commented that the Tigers "had a 'Rice and Beans' line up out there today" in regards to a mostly hispanic starting line-up for Detroit on that particular day
  24. For those scoring at home... Detroit Tigers who are pieces of s***: Jose Valverde Miguel Cabrera Jim Leyland That one announcer who said that racist s*** Carlos Guillen
  25. Cali

    8/11 Games

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 06:53 PM) Lotta faith for 1 good start Not faith in Santiago, as much as lack of faith in Humber and Hector seems like the best of the trash heap of minor league starters that the Sox have haha
