You can bet the Moneyline on a team and if they go up 2, you win your bet whether the team you bet on wins or loses. Figured Sox could maybe go up 2 and blow it at least haha it's a good promo because you end up taking underdogs at pretty decent odds.

I agree and even said as much around the trade deadline. Yeah, he probably would have liked to have been a SP this whole time, but this scenario is pretty spectacular for him (if he stays healthy over next 2 years).

Yeah, I said the same thing around the trade deadline. Like, yeah, he's not earning as much as he could in arb these last couple of years of his control, but that's not a lot anyway. He will be a free agent probably a year or 2 earlier than he would have been had they actually made him a starter in the minors first. Assuming he is mostly healthy and great over the next two years, he is in a position where he can sign a long term deal when he is a free agent with an opt-out or two.

I honestly would have preferred Outman over Vargas, for that reason alone. And left-handed hitter. Especially if you weren't getting a young, prospect who's clock hadn't started anyway. Of course, I would still complain that they traded for someone who's clock started and is older, but with the power of hindsight, I can say I would have preferred Outman to Vargas.
