  1. The only guys I can think of that the Sox could dfa to make room for MiLB signings are some of the older guys who may not have long-term value like Banks (he's 32) and Scholtens but they have options. I'm also not really sure if they would get picked up or not. Lambert and Peralta (just meh guys really) too I guess. Also depends on if Shane Drohan makes the team out of Spring Training I guess.
  2. When people were comparing Fletcher to Eaton, I figured he was small and probably the same size as Eaton. Eaton is 3 inches taller, Madrigal 2 inches taller lol Altuve is listed at the same height (5'6") and he's hit for some power in his career.
  3. Any stadium design is better than the generic, cookie-cutter style, current stadium haha
  4. I get the concerns, but personally I’m not worried.
  5. Is this a hint as to who you are talking about?
  6. Yeah I bet he starts off in a platoon (if he makes the team) with Lopez. He could have a chance at more playing time.
  7. Don't really care for my free time but it is a nice change of pace to toss a game on in the background while working from home.
  8. Yeah, if not for those trades, I think he would have been worth picking up. Heck, maybe he still would have been over Sheets (and his one option).
  9. Just to note, just because a guy was claimed at some point doesn't mean the team won't try to pass him later. There's always guys constantly waived and claimed throughout an offseason. Outside of Speas, off the top of my head, I'm not sure we even claimed anyone other than him. But yeah, he could be safe. Agree that Martin and Foster likely get added to the 60-day IL.
  10. It was a soft 2020 schedule. Who was the only good offensive team we faced? Minnesota? Kind of expected the implosion after.
  11. How recent are we talking here? Rebuild era and beyond?
  12. I still think they should bring him back if he’ll go for like $5M.
  13. I'm hoping the better defense helps get to that mark from last year. Can't catch the walks and balls over the fence though.
  14. It depends on if they want to gamble on his first half. Take the best offer now or wait for a bigger market when teams need pitching and they can't fallback on free agency. What I would do? As I said the other day, hold onto him (unless you get a good offer) and just put the defense behind him every game.
  15. He's not going to get a ton of innings this year, even if they start building him up. He's going to just have to pitch. Make him a closer and then build on that in the minors the year after.
  16. I grabbed the over of 63.5 at +100 odds on DK earlier. It's not going to be pretty but 64 wins is all it takes.
  17. Kershaw signs with Dodgers. According to this story, Thursday is the first day teams can place players on the 60-day IL so sounds like he will go directly there so no 40-man space needed. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/02/dodgers-re-sign-clayton-kershaw.html
  18. Is he the starter or is it Stassi? Dude is 37. Figured he'd be more of a backup/mentor role.
  19. At this point, which relievers? I'm sure they're not just going to give the guy away for Jimmy Lambert, ha
  20. Roster Resource currently lists the bullpen as this: I would say Touki is the long-man and Barlow is in the pen instead of Crochet. Edit: damn, image did not post. Here's the link: https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/white-sox
  21. So that just leaves Oakland and Sox as only teams to not sign anyone to a $100M+ deal?
