  1. I don’t know if the Sox and Mets are really a fit. I’m sure they will be looking to move Carrasco, Escobar, and McCann before anyone else. I’m sure some teams will give up basically nothing and take on almost the entire contract of each guy where maybe Mets eat some of it.
  2. I think he’s their 2B. Escobar will be the guy moved I think.
  3. Wonder what Segura will get. If you can get him at 1/$10M or 1 year with an option, you do it right?
  4. Rendon (will likely get hurt), Urshela, Drury, Fletcher, Rengifo. Where they all playing?
  5. Yeah within the last few pages today but before Ottavino signed.
  6. Sign Correa. We have, by my count, $60M coming off books after this season.
  7. Hey, I’m just repeating what our board insider said.
  8. Mets jumped into Correa sweepstakes a little too late. If Correa were available for them to sign, they would need to free up some money.
  9. Lol watch the deal fall through only for Cohen to swoop in and sign him.
  10. Probably moot now with Ottavino re-signing with the Mets. Didn’t realize how great he was last year.
  11. Meh. The problem isn’t that our highest paid free agent is Benintendi per se. It’s that the highest paid free dollar amount is only $75M. Should be someone else higher than that amount in the year 2022 for a major market team. Contract overall is fine.
  12. Yeah I don’t think they would get Baty but I think getting catching prospect when they have a few isn’t that crazy. Maybe not Alvarez but Parada.
  13. They don’t have to deal young players with EE or McCann if they are taking back bad money. But that’s not Liam. If they’re dealing either of those 2 and getting back Liam, they’re dealing a young player or two.
  14. Well they are trying to move McCann and Carrasco to lower their tax hit.
  15. They're paying $86M each season for 2 old SP. They're all in.
  16. God, what a pointless fuckin argument no one else cares about.
  17. Maybe, but if we are dealing Hendriks and receiving Chisholm (I assume this is what you mean), I don't see how we don't send someone else out from our minors in this deal.
  18. Yeah, I actually just saw his age and numbers from last year. Will be 34 soon and didn't play 2B at all last year.
  19. If the Mets have/want to cut some payroll (they do), I would take either of those guys as a toss in. Not as main pieces though.
  20. "Go ahead, open your check book for *checks notes*. Ah yes, there is no longer any high leverage reliever to sign."
